Calais_loco
I managed to snag a decent Flattie while fishing for Bass at Yarramundi this arvo. I got the 38cm Flattie on a Daiwa Duble Clutch at the foot of the rapids down from the Springwood Road Bridge on the Nepean Yarramundi. I also managed two decent Bass on a 3/8oz Megabass spinner in the rapids that put up a good fight, they were some fat fish...
Pickles
Nice healthy fish @Calais_loco, it’s great our waterways are firing after the “Big Wet”, makes you wonder where the fish hide. Last few trips I’ve been catching the odd flattie with Bass in the fresh also and good size (40-45cm).

Yowie
Nice fish there, showing how far flatties will head up river for a feed.

lastworm
Nice looking fat healthy Bass! That's the type of fish the Nepean used to produce, for so long the Nepean has been full of rat bass, hopefully times are changing!
Bluebenbomb
Well done on the bass and flatty. Would expect freshwater flatty to taste as good as saltater flatty, but you never know.
Calais_loco
I can't believe how healthy some of these Bass are, it's great to see. I managed another couple today at the same spot the biggest going 45cm.
lastworm
Things are certainly changing for the better. Maybe we needed these floods after all, shame it couldn’t have happened without all of the impact on human lives
