Yellowfin79
G'day Fellow Raiders Had a recent trip to beautiful Rockhampton with my son and my friend Jerry Idea behind the trip was to catch some quality fish and quality we did get into indeed What a beautiful spot Rockhampton is with Fitzroy river being such a healthy nest for these species. We fished with a local guide for 3 amazing days, each producing quality fish. Photos speak for themselves, hope you guys enjoy! EDITED The biggest Threadfin @122cm belongs to Saad, mine went 120cm, the ones in the photos above were around the 90-95 cm. All fish caught on live bait. Yowie
Great fish, good sizes, and great sporting varieties. Did you keep anything for the table, or were all released?

Pickles
They are quality fish @Yellowfin79 - absolute rippers. What a difference a guide makes - worth every penny you spend. The young bloke will have memories and (photos) to remember, long after the old fellas have gone. I’ve also had a few trips where moving around and not having storage/ refrigeration meant the fish couldn’t be kept, but the photos “taste sweet”. Congratulations on trophy fish. 👏👏👏

Thanks @wrxhoon1 Jerry you may have a record entry OK these fish need to be submitted into our records here @Yellowfin79 take a look you could enter several fish and make all the current records topple. I don't think we actually have a Threadfin Salmon entry at all. We would be honoured to have these on record here. Just need to edit your post to let us know what these were taken on - bait or lure. It is about time Saad Jr has a log in if he does not alread have one!! YellowfinJr looks like a very good angler! Cheers mrsswordie
