definately agree, i have never needed a bomb bigger than 7lb in the harbour, botany, pitty or any other bay as yet. scotty is well known and easy to use. Cheers, Adrian.
  2. do a quick search on this site and im sure you will find the information you seek. in particular jewgaffers posts. Heres something to start you off mate Wind info Cheers, Adrian
  3. great report there mate, shame the fishing was slower than expected for this time of year up at SWR. A mate of mine got up there today so hopefully the weather plays nice and so do the cobes and beakies they are chasing. Cheers, Adrian.
  4. botany heads was a mere 18 degrees also. hopefully some warmer stuff comes through and things should start to improve.
  5. awsome work mate, i too got a few last weekend. Cheers, Adrian.

  9. a mate of mine went up to avoca for a crack but turned around as the swell was pumping a solid 2.5m plus windy as hell this morning. too dangerous for the stones mate. Cheers, Adrian.
  10. the southern side of the bay will be fishable, ie murrays for squid and bowen island for kings. let us know how you go if you head out mate. Cheers, Adrian.
  11. well done mate. sure does pay to fish whilst everyone is at work and there is heaps less boat traffic. i saw you at bare island on sat downrigging for a bit. we didnt turn a reel in the bay but found plenty of rats out the heads. Cheers, Adrian.
  12. mate daves was in the boat from new i believe. looks great! almost like a fish tank on board lol.
  13. definately a turn of the tide spot. often referred to as the goal posts. try anywhere near weed beds and big drop offs with plastics as in my experience they out fish bait 10 - 1 and the quality of fish is much better and bigger. good luck mate.
  14. mate my motor dropped spark from the time i tested it the night before and the sunday morning at the ramp at botany. if you relise there is a problem pull the boat out and attempt to fix it away from the ramp as i did. not everyone wants to start there motor before it is in the the drink. i was there for 2mins and relised something was up and pulled the boat out without any delays to others around.
  15. i know the dorado well, my family is from argentina and my uncle has a camping fishing shop over there and run up the river parana to brazil for weeks at a time chasing these prize fighters. they look unbelievable too. congrats. cant see the pics though Cheers, Adrian.
  16. well done dave, another strong showing in another tournie. well done to caige and chris as well. CHeers, Adrian.
  17. awsome stuff, well done to the lucky boats and a great mako.
  18. mate you need to find structure and bait and the kings wont be far away. the headlands have both on offer so give that a go. i struggle to find live bait in the bay lately but have had sucess near the heads on yakkas and slimies. hopefully ill be out there again on saturday to get some larger specimens. good luck doggers and i am sure youll get on to them soon. Cheer, Adrian.
  19. hey mate, to be honest the kings would have smashed anything the other day i think. we were using 2-5kg and 5-10 kg flick sticks with 15lb braid. the jigheads were 3/4oz and a big hook with 7" and 9" plastics in hope of a larger specimen. seeing it was late arvo we couldnt be bothered with livies so tried our luck with plastics only and got lucky i guess. never had a session even close to that one. Cheers, Adrian.
  20. hey mate, try for squid around the spit area, middle head and manly cove. yakkas are always present at balmoral near the little island and you can also pick up squid there too. good luck for your next trip, keep trying and the results will come. Cheers, Adrian.
  21. i love boomerang beach, its a pretty part of the world there. from memory in my yourger days we used to get a heap of dart in the wash up to around the 40cm mark by the bucket loads. Cheers, Adrian.
  22. too right im guessing a few beers lol, wouldnt want one of those to latch on to your kegs lol. Cheers, Adrian.
  23. Hi All, went out from botany bay with a mate of mine on tuesday to get away for a few hours and managed to score plenty of rats ranging from 30cm to 60cm. all up we boated about 42 fish in a 3 hr session all on soft plastics. Cheers, Adrian.
  24. well done out there mate. you seem to have the knack for botany kings even when the going is tougher than usual.
