  8. Hi, Sam I will be in Vincentian tomoro for the weekend, and we launch a big cobalt wake boat at murrays , there's no other choice mate
  9. Yes good green eye, picked him up in the kelp off jibbon, they get bigger though, 2.2kg is my biggest , but that one was my mates biggest so he was chuffed!
  10. Thanks bro, nah no snaps, we only had a small window to get out and back, So stuck to what I know and got the trifecta... squids kings flaty! I need a snaps tutorial from the mystro one day! Easter I'll be up there
  11. Thanks yowie, the hacking and especially grays pt boat ramp was chokers when we got back, but u get that on a Sunday !
  12. Nah mate, just simple squid strips on my 20lb gear, down rigging takes to much time most times unproductive. Don't worry the big green eye managed to spray all of us when my mate lifted him outta the water😑
  13. Saturday - Georges River. Footy dads inaugural fishing comp, traps in Friday arvo and then a 6am hooter start with 9 boats, midday finish. Worked hard for 2 fish 41cm and 64cm on plastics and only 1 muddy going 1.85kg. Got beat by a 71 flaty and 2kg muddy, a few good fish caught including a 42cm whiting by one of the boys , great day out on the river with Plenty of laughs. Sunday - Hacking and south 3 of us left grays pt ramp 530, picked up 3 squid at jibbon, trolled for 10 mins for 3 Bonnies , got down to wattamolla for our kings, and hooray 3 in 3 drifts, 66, 68 and 74. Then headed to the 35m line for flatys and caught about 20 ranging from 36 to 43, all male blue spots. Raced back to the ramp by 1030. Another cracker day! Off to JB next weekend, gotta love March.
  14. Nice yella there Gareth, on a trolled lure I assume? I have only caught 10kg models, so it Would of been cool seeing big bags of cement flying out the water, I'm going out tomoro from the hacking , hopefully we find em!
  15. Nice lizard there Anthony, and on a plastic , well done πŸ‘πŸΌOn the release! Not a bad start for you flicking career. How deep did u get her?
  16. Cheers , he was a fast fella for that size and swallowed my blade, lizards are always up for a feed!
  17. Thanks mate, tooo busy for my liking, but plenty of options in the bay , just starting my summer campaign, hopefully I can repeat some of your efforts.
  18. I took a mate out into the bay today for a qik flick tutorial targeting the bay trifecta, squid, kings and lizards. Bonna point ramp launch at 6, gunned over to the weed east of the oil wharf and picked up a couple of squid amongst 12 boats in 5 casts, good start but the car park at molly had 20+ boats on the wall, so we moved over to the drums at 645, then saw a 80+ kingy cruise under the boat 😱so we flicked big plastics and dropped live squid for 0, trolled over to towra for another 0, flicked the tide change for my favourite 🦎 hunt and dropped a 60+ model boat side 😑 But, jagged this fat fella at 52 in 4m on a green blade, 14 boats all within casting distance so pulled up stumps at 930. Busy bay today, but the seals on the drums and an overcast morning made for a good start to a Sunday.

    Botany Bay

Thanks for the report mate, if I see boats I keep moving too, nothing worse than fishing in a car park, and as u mentioned kings can be anywhere in the bay, each to there own. I'll be having a crack Monday morn after this heat and crowds settles down.
  21. I used to fish the bay a fair bit however the last couple of years I've been focusing and mastering my humble Wonnie and Como areas, might need to put the number plate on the trailer and launch at Kurnell, if u ever need company.... or a tow, let me know and I'll meet up with u for a flick . Off to work now driving thru Brighton😑, here we go again!
  22. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ good work mate, as usual killing it πŸ‘πŸΎ Loved the video, I flicked the Wonnie yesterday for 4 under 45's and lost a bigger fish boat side., I might have to venture into the bay, gotta love the weed beds ! Well done and great report.
  23. Well done mate, some nice lizards there, and your locally caught, processed and cooked seafood platter looks the goodsπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ
