  1. Tough day but you got out on the water ... happy days!. The multiple Maritime inspection thing happened to me once launching with the family at Ermo - just motored out from ramp to be stopped for full inspection - show a life jacket for everyone on board, torch, flares, etc etc. Then stopped at middle harbour and once again offshore. It was mid week .. and I guess there were fewer rec vessels about ... and each of the martime guys on patrol had to "show" some activity on their daily report. We all had a bit of a laugh about it. Cheers Z
  2. Can't complain about those catches ... well done ! Best of luck in the comp. Cheers Z
  3. Well done Dave... a solid feed as always, but I'm not sure the kingy would have escaped from my esky ... and you proved that cheapie lure works a treat - only quality fish would take it ! Mind you I don't mind smoked salmon at all ! Cheers Zoran
  4. That's a gun Gunnard Bob !!! Good on the eyes and good on the chew. Well done buddy. I presume the pike went out again as the next trips bait ... or Rosie's snack? Cheers Zoran
  5. Thanks Jon ... we are pretty well sorted out now on Maria's "reaction" ... she has to stay away from Benzoyl Peroxide ! ... the epi is still something we are keeping in mind but so far the doctors have not advised it as necessary or essential 🤔. Sorry to hear your daughter has similar experiences - chemical, food, insect bite trigger? - if you have not seen it already, you may find of interest my post in the Bar on Allergy reactions and the Yuka App. Cheers Z
  6. Congratulations Saad, Saad Jr. and Jerry. A very memorable trip indeed. Stunning photos ! cheers Zoran
  7. Well done Shroom. Looks like a pontoon “party boat” decked out for fishing 👍. How far up the George’s were you? cheers Zoran
  8. Cracker of a fish mate- just shows big baits = big fish (with a lot of downtime in between 😜). Congrats. cheers Zoran

  10. Nice variety of fish - good reward for the effort. Did you cook them all the same? cheers Zoran
  11. Hahaha... good to hear you are getting more tome to play. I've still got about 30kg and have only lost 1 V-can !! .. must be really good lead! Cheers Z
  12. Nicely done - good sized flattie… and a great way to repost after a break. Thanks for the report. cheers Zoran
  13. Too TRUE buddy ... I have to pack burley when we go out !!! ... not so with M on occasion .... and some others 🤣

    Buying stuff

Customer service has definitely dropped.... I've noticed it a lot especially since COVID ... seems a lot of service staff consider we should be grateful they are there at all vs an opportunity to do business ! Not everyone, but just in general. During the recent renos I went to Sydney Tools to pick up a trim puller as I had a fair bit of skirting to remove. Online showed they had low stock. Turned up at store, asked at counter, first guy had no idea what it was, I showed him their website picture, chap next to him pipes up and says yup know what they are comes with me to the wood working tools aisle as that's where they should be, nothing there, we look around in the area - he goes back to desk - comes back says there should be 6 - we look around again - nope nothing to be found. Walks away scratching his head - its unusual to have 6 missing - hard for all 6 to be stolen - so to help me out he starts calling other stores. In the mean time I take a walk around the shop browsing for 💩 as @Fab1 say, go upstairs walk past the "gardening" section - bugger me - there they are hanging next to rakes, shovels and hoes!!! Seems a disinterested someone at Sydney Tools thought they were mini hoes !!!!! Sometimes it pays to look around the store in strange places. Cheers Z

    Need some advice

    ... you're a crackpot mate
  20. Thanks Bob ... too true anaphylaxis is not a joke, we;ve got the cause sorted as per my other post. Very sorry to hear about your cousin - I can understand how quickly it can go pear shaped. As for you my friend, mend up quick buddy ... I'm getting the urge to go out wide(r) again. Finishing off our share of the flatties today. Hey Jason, good to hear from you. It's been a busy couple of months full of life's challenges for sure - hopefully much smoother now going forward. Do you still have enough sinkers? Cheers Zoran
  21. Thanks @Sharknado ... too true. Re shopping, we've found that there are staples that we purchase just about every time we go shopping ... once you've scanned them once you can swap out the crap products for better ones. So it's really only the new stuff that will get the Yuka treatment going forward. Hahaha ... yes lots of misinformation everywhere, including plant based alternatives .... I too was surprised as to what's in plant based food .... Now that chemical load should really worry Mr Bananas @Pickles 😂🤣 I wonder what would be in factory farmed meat/fish if they did the full chemical analysis like this on "just beef" or "just fish" when >90% of pharma revenue comes from animal agriculture .... and could that be linked to the rise in antibiotic resistant bacteria strains??? That's the reason Maria and I catch our own fish - wild caught, and stay as close as possible to whole foods ! Cheers Z
  22. Well done again Mike. Nice work. The Araldite should hold - I guess you could have scoured one or both surfaces a tad just to get extra bite - maybe be keep in mind if it comes off again. Mate if I was to go have a quick flick I’d be casting into my pool. cheers Z
  23. Thanks Donna and thanks for the post recognition ! ... just paying good info forward. Check each product as you can't rely on a brand alone: the Cetaphil mosturising lotion you mention scores and excellent healthy 86/100, the Cetaphil SPF50+ Daily facial mosturiser I posted in the original report scores Bad 0/100 listing 4 hazardous substances ! Maria is down from three drawers to one drawer of "healthy products"... she's decided to rock the blemishes ! Cheers Z Man made stuff is often the most allergenic ... but that's another topic. In hindsight the interesting thing was how we react as humans, and how the industry reacts as well. The human reaction - our reaction (mine and Maria's): blame the industrial product ... must be the paint ... those &#@$#& chemical companies !!!!! And yet it was the Cosmetic product that put Maria into hospital! ... a face cream. Who would have thought. The industry reaction - one call to the industrial co (Dulux) and they took details, gave me direct email to forward photos, batch numbers, connected me with their lab, pulled out and sent MSDS sheets from Oz and UK (material safety data sheets) and I had a response within 24hrs ... and their lab tech is still staying in touch with me today. Call to Paula's Choice Cosmetics - sorry we don't take such feedback over telephone calls please fill in an online feedback form ... just go look on our website. Go find and fill in form and note it's sent of to US parent co... 48hrs later, email reply, denial of other similar feedback, sorry you don't "like" our product we will offer you a full refund (no confirmation if MI was in the product or what the product contained!!!) --- follow up with angry email, this is about life or death not about refund ... 24hrs later another email here is a list of our ingredients.... (of which 4 are known contact dermatitis allergens, 2 can cause anaphylaxis) .. denial denial ... oh btw if it turns out it was our product we will insist on having further dialog and discussion. I confirmed back to them as per the allergy specialist's test it was their product - that was Friday morning... no response so far ... How is it that these two industries can operate so differently, or be allowed to operate in that way - you put cosmetics on your skin, you put paint on a wall .... you'd think there would be greater scrutiny and duty of care with anything that we apply or ingest directly. I guess there is a lot of self regulation/self reporting that is allowed in pharma and cosmetic companies (have you seen Painkiller on Netflix?). Rant over. Cheers Z
  24. Ms back to her usual self thanks. Just much more cautious with all toiletries and beauty products. As to mouthwash… you just have to check each brand … see Listerine Original below… an excellent result but I still wouldn’t drink it !
  25. Yes she has … it’s called the “Stewy” feature cheers Z
