  1. Paikea, They are awesome. Very stable and pretty tough. I use mine around the lease up here but also chasing bass on some fairly rough terrain. Not great for offshore fishing but rivers and estuary, no problem! Cheers scratchie!!!
  2. Good to see mate. You will need to log onto raider from your phone and go onto the full site. Edit your post and go to more reply options. Then attach files, Select the photo you want and press add.
  3. it will be if you use your wife's good set of knives to fillet your next fish!!!
  4. Unfortunately it wasn't, as the young fella was fishing in a comp at the time and I think he wanted to give it to the old boys!
  5. Best method I've seen, unweighted freshly caught squid, unweighted, snelled double hook rig, casted into an out going tide from the end of the wall. Hope that helps! Cheers scratchie!!!
  6. Dave, The kings off that break wall are some of the most educated I've seen. I've watching blokes get spooled by monsters there. Although I have seen a few landed. Best was a 22kg+ that had this bloke running everywhere! Great angling to land a fish from there that size! The bream can be brutal too! A young fella landed one at 53cm in November. Top effort! Great spot when it's on. Well done on your efforts! Cheers scratchie!!!
  7. Go swordy! First a cracking Jew and now going chasing some blue water action! Life's good!
  8. Hey saintdylan, Good to see your still about. That's a monster dolly. Would love to see the pics. Were they taken on a n iPhone or camera? Cheers scratchie!!!
  9. Agree about the wind forecast jim! Worked from 1am until 10am and was going to race home put on my boat with newly fixed trailer and go do some trolling. Got home, looked at the ocean and the 20knot southerly and went to bed! At least you got out and wet a line! Something I haven't done in 3 weeks. My goldfish are very nervous! Cheers scratchie!!!
  10. Taylor made surface walkers, fat dog deep and shallow divers. For the nepean early morning or late afternoon for surface lures and deep or shallow divers during the day. A rising barometer also brings them on, especially just before a storm! Cheers scratchie!!!
  11. Life jackets save lives! And always great work by marine rescue!
  12. Good on you boattart for offering a spot on your boat. Wish you all the best of luck! Tight lines, Cheers scratchie!!!
  13. Great report saltwater dog! But when I first looked at the title, I thought shit he did well 8-2-15. Lol Hooked 8 Fought 2 Landed 15????? Wowee, how did he do that! Then I realised it was the date. But to my defence, I was up at 1am. Well done all the same. Good to see the confidence growing! Cheers scratchie!!!
  14. If it's an iPhone, zoom in, screen shot and then try. It reduces the meg to the photo!
  15. Awesome read stormy! It's definitely a great way to chase fish at their level and you get some really good fish in a 1m of water! Might have to dust the cobwebs off the old yak and get out there! Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  16. Well done Seamus! It was only a matter of time before you won cotm. And what a cracking fish it was too! Awesome work Cheers scratchie!!!
  17. How cute! Haven't seen one that small in ages! Lol Well done boss! Cracking jewy! Cheers scratchie!!!
  18. Maybe a nice cruise out to 12 mile or heatons? And accidentally drop some lines on the water?
  19. Thank you all for your advice. I conned my elderly father in law to help me as he has been a mechanic for 55years. The jobs done now and I replaced, bearings and brake cable. And cost me about $80 all up with grease etc. But thanks again! Cheers scratchie!!!
  20. Nursie, I agree with you about the kayak crew but to be honest, I haven't geared up myself for a while either! But since you mentioned it, I'm inspired now to get out there with mine and put up a report! Hope you do too! Cheers scratchie!!!
  21. Before this topic gets "liked" or "disliked" can I provide a couple of examples why Fishraider is the best fishing forum in Australia. I joined back on 2012 but was a long time lurker on this forum. I have fished for over 30 years but not to the extent I do now. Since joining this site, I have met, fished, engaged and journeyed with many raiders over the past years. I have offered and sort advice. And also read nearly every post of the last 3 years which has made me such a better fisho. From yowie in the hacking, grouper on his squid adventures, stormy and the boys on their blackfish sessions, sticky beak and his marlin trips, all of them have contributed to who I am the fisherman today! Man, I caught my first blackfish based on a rig I heard stormy describe 2 years ago! Never even thought of chasing them. One time I was out on a game boat heading to browns mountain, it was like a car park. The boat I was on had no affiliation with raider. The capt goes shit "where are we going to start our drift. No worries I said, grab the mic, any fishraiders out there boys, this is scratchie! 3 replys, yeah I see you coming in, start on the south side of that boat there and drop. 3mins later double hook up! The capt looks at me and goes your kidding, no mate Fishraider! Just for the record I will try and recap the members that I've been fishing with over the past 3 years.... Diesel, hunter111, stickybeak, trout stalker, weekend detention, fishythings, kitto, Oziodin, flattieslaye, simmo, dom, wahoo76, gh1952, roadrunner parts,Nbdshroom, reef magic, witha, rayr, gudude, berleyguts and to be honest, that's just to name a few! So to answer the topic, stagnet??? I think not, it is the way you engage the forum that counts! Cheers scratchie!!!
  22. Dislike! Should put the pool in and listen to your mum!
  23. Great to engage in conversation on this topic but would anyone really want or accept a "dislike" button on there post really???? My personal opinion is that it would stop people from engaging on the forum at all. Sometimes a report of donuts helps other fishos decide on there next plan of a trip! And them to have 30,40,50 dislikes would stop me from posting!
