  1. Great report pom! Sounds like a nice relaxing way to spend the day with the family! Well done on the fish too! Cheers scratchie!!!
  2. That was hilarious! I loved how they ignored the bloke who's reel was screaming like a rotary engine! The bloke on the pole reminded me of "chan" from the hangover! But overall, to land a fish like that so quickly on a bamboo pole is unbelievable! Cheers scratchie!!!
  3. Just tell her it's the same price as her hairdo!!! Then again, don't because she's probably lying to you about the cost of that! Lol
  4. Hey witha, I find the yak awesome! Value for money, stable 8/10. It weighs 22kg so pretty easy to carry and throw in anywhere. I bought it from eeebay for $369 in newcastle. They deliver anywhere for $45 Guess its up to the driver what they can do, but I think they are solid units! I put an electric on mine and it goes great. Make sure you you try to haggle them on price too! I asked and they took off $20 and because I was close went and picked it up. That saved me $65. Cheers scratchie!!!
  5. That's the biggest Jew I've seen pulled from the hawkesbury in a long time. Those new size limits must be working already! Lol. Great effort by your mate on 6lb to land that. It always seems the way with big Jew, lightest line and smallest bait= biggest fish!!!!! I haven't been in a Jew hunt in a few weeks and you've just inspired me. Well done! Cheers scratchie!!!
  6. Great stories fellas! And there are certainly many things that can happen whilst boating. Knowing how to adapt to a situation is sometimes a scary prospect. Thanks for sharing and will definitely keep it in mind. Cheers scratchie!!!

Ok diesel, I think that's great advice from testlab. To clean that back area up, maybe a trimming like on the back of my boat? Cheers scratchie!!!
  8. Well done David. That's a great result considering you were fishing blind in a new stretch of water. I'd be happy with that haul too! Cheers scratchie!!!
  9. Lmfao!!! Bet your work didn't know we have IT gurus on here too!Cheers scratchie!!!
  10. Hey mate, I tried that exact lure that day. I seriously changed so many things but just could hook one. I think it was just that day. I'm awaiting there return to that spot and I'll be there, with a plan and enough arsenal to fill BCF!
  11. Ahhhhhh, jnr poddy takes title ay? That's a great fish for the young fella to fight and land. It would have felt like a marlin for him! Unlucky on yours mate but his smile won the day! Cheers scratchie!!!
  12. Nice work Pete, thought you'd dropped off the scene for a while! You were obviously busy fishing! Some great pics there, but didn't need the one of the toady! Lol. Great stuff mate, keep at it.......still waiting for that next Jew pic! Cheers scratchie!!!
  13. Well done poddy! Never seen or heard of what popper your talking about but now that you've explained what it does, it's on the next shopping list. Plenty of whiting up here to hammer! Awesome haul!!!! Cheers scratchie!!!
  14. Keep at it mate, it's only a matter of time! I noticed you use squid for bait on most occasions, I think that 1m+ Jew will come using a livie! Most of my big one come from livies. Probably worth the effort for you! Cheers scratchie!!!
  15. Well done mate! Looks like you've found a great little spot for them Jews! The photo has the same background as last time! Nice catch and home by 9am to put in a report. The mrs has got to be happy with that! Cheers scratchie!!!
  16. Thanks dan, it was a while ago but that area I use 1/4 jig to hit the bottom hard and stir up the mud. The flatties really bury themselves amongst the leases! Notice there color!
  17. Luke, you are the Jew king! Great work there on the SP's and an awesome haul of fish. Do you ever take any home for a feed?? Cheers scratchie!!!
  18. That's rather interesting Roberta!!!! That has just given me a few ideas around the washes, out the front islands. Will have try that when this wind p##ses off! Cheers scratchie!!!
  19. Thanks Ian. Yep the wife enjoys it when she catches something but doesn't like me dispatching it though. And always nice to be out on the water!
  20. Cheers gazza! They certainly are and we are blessed we get to watch them go up & down the coast.
  21. First of all well done on your catch! I'm a newbie to SP's etc and have only been using them in the past 3 months and yes they become somewhat addictive. I use the method of keeping the SP's or hardies in the strike zone I would for bait but give it some action. There some really great threads on here about it all but just do what' works for you. If don't catch fish, then change your method. Good luck and look forward to your next report! Cheers scratchie!!!
  22. Hey, If your fishing off the breakwall, you can really only do that during tide changes as it rips through there! I haven't really fished the beaches so can't give you intel there. Up river near the car ferry is worth a flick especially around low tide as you can walk around casting SP's. At the bridges further up I've heard of Jew and bull sharks being caught there but not sure if you can access that area LB. Good luck!!! Cheers scratchie!!!
  23. Great feed of fish there yowie! I think each to their own when it comes to views on fishing rules and size limits. I love a nice slab of jewfish regardless of size! Cheers scratchie!!!
  24. Nice feed there mate! Cheers scratchie!!!
