  1. G’day raiders, Headed out yesterday for a short late arvo sesh with fellow raider Woodsy. We left little beach at 230. Headed out and picked up a few bonito for bait and burley. Went up to Broughton in his new ride cruising at 25 knots on his awesome bar crusher! Hit the mark and dropped anchor. The current was raging uphill, so we start to burley and deploy our lines. It took a while but the bites starting coming thick and fast. Got a feed of pannies and got done by a couple of larger models. The tailor moved into the trail and we caught and released easy over 20 legal sized ones! After getting snipped a few times we called it quits and left just after dark. Thanks for the arvo Woodsy! It was a pretty good sesh with constant action and very comfortable on your new ride! Cheers scratchie!!!
  2. Sounds like a great trip. Plenty of fish and a nice feed of calamari, yummm! Cheers scratchie!!!
  3. Nice haul Sam! You certainly have those species dialled in. With winter around the corner there should be some big snaps on offer soon! Cheers scratchie!!!
  4. Nice work rick! Yep great weather for my 4 days off! Grrr plenty of huge squid about atm! Worth keeping a rod handy with a jig on it. Cheers scratchie!!!
  5. I’m thinking it may be a leak from your live tank in the hull. That’s where I’d start. Try running some dye in it and see if it comes out!
  6. Nice work Baz! It looked like a beautiful day out there! I was out Monday and the current was running hard uphill which normally means very little snapper! My young fella lost a cracker 80cm+ boatside after it chewed off the leader. But that was the only good one all day. Picked up 4 pannies 2 big mac tuna and a huge bonito! Might try and look for a few tomorrow arvo! Cheers scratchie!!!
  7. What report? He’s looking for a mentor!
  8. Nice one ARC! A feed of flatty always goes down a treat. Why do you scale them? Do you cook them whole? Cheers scratchie!!!
  9. Great work BN. We only have tides to contend with. It must be frustrating on a nice day when you can’t get your boat out there! Cheers scratchie!!!
  10. All my rods are loaded with power-pro! Never had an issue! Leader either ocea or black magic fc! Cheers scratchie!!!
  11. Some cracking fish there mate! Gotta love the north coast. So many more fishing options and bigger species! Well done! cheers scratchie!!!
  12. Sure can! Where he is fishing for tailor is sunny corner! It’s between boat Harbour and one mile point. The Mac tuna was caught off one mile point. Plenty of good safe ledges around there but it’s a fair walk in. Google it and follow the trails! Good luck cheers scratchie!!!
  13. Nice work Pete! The conditions looked great yesterday and you came home with a ripper feed there! No hook incidents! Great morning cheers scratchie!!!
  14. Yes Baz ouch! I never like seeing a rod go swimming! You took it pretty well though. If it was my rod, you probably would have learnt a few new words! Peter, unlucky with the hook mate. They are meant for the fish

  16. Haha, I’m pretty sure yours are central coast snapper mate! I’m the local here! ?
  17. Great report Craig. It’s so good to see the young fella following in his dads footsteps! You are very generous mate, giving up a feed to a fellow fisho! Although, I never got any crabs in the mail??? Keep the reports coming champ! Cheers scratchie!!!
  18. Slimy strips lightly weighted or a slimy head. The only plastic sp you will need for snapper is a 5 inch zman shad in coconut ice! Or the 7inch same colour. Match this with a nitro tt 1/4 5/0 XH
  19. Second one is a rock cale for mind too! First one I’ve never seen!
  20. Toughen up Baz! Your sounding embarrassing. You obviously haven’t learnt to suck up as good as I have! Haha
  21. Nice work BN. Persistence pays off! Gotta give that type of fishing a go one day! Cheers scratchie!!!
  22. Great few fish there! Well done cheers scratchie!!!
  23. Awesome Derek! I’d be happy to take on any Queenslander on my home turf! cheers scratchie!!!
