  1. Great catch and well done on your PB.
  2. Great job team Scratchie! Those are some great photos too! Looks like you are decked out in the Pirtek fishing challenge gear. I've also been wearing my cap everywhere I go.
  3. What on earth is wrong with that red?! Mate, nothing wrong with that red at all, beaut of a fish!
  4. Wow you must have a very big tank. 150 gallons? edit: obvious question, but couldn't you just catch a few on some z mans?
  5. *Cue eerie UFO background music*
  6. I like the second photo. How big were these fish?
  7. Haha, 'weights' such as pulling in fish might just be the best exercise! It does constitute 'free weights' which is the best form.
  8. Welcome and I hope to hear from you about your fishing adventures in the future!
  9. That is a beast of a fish! Looks like you guys had fun in tournament.
  10. Round 3 Leader board Update:
  11. Yes, those octopuses are huge! What are they? The Giant Pacific variety?
  12. Mate, I'm impressed. With a croc like that, you could be in with the chance for some prizes!
  13. Quality fish! You get big fish everytime! I still remember your last post of that red you got.
  14. *Point and laugh* No seriously, how does one launch on a beach in waves like that?
  15. If you guys do end up fishing together sometime, is it okay if I come along? I'm finding SP fishing is a pretty lonely sport but the rewards are well worth it. Ever since I cracked the SP code, I've been able to get bream on the z-mans grubz in watermelon and bloodworm, squidgie wrigglers in bloodworm (good for everything so far inc. pike, tailor) and gary glitter, kokoda b-grub in the dark brown colour (gun lure imo - I got my best flathead and bream so far on this one) and 3" squidgie fish in flash prawn. I think the 3" fish is a large lure for bream but they don't seem to limit the size of bream that will willingly give it a go. I've run out of them but I'd give them another shot.
  16. Good report. A similar thing with the hooks has happened to me before. I had been fishing for ages using a particular SP and did not notice that the hook was snapped inside the plastic but visually it appeared fine. I kept getting bites but no hookups so it took me a while before i noticed.
  17. Nothing here... well at least all below legal. Fished landbased at Salt pan and Oatley. My only consolidation is that I managed to get 2 flathead and a bream on SPs. My best haul yet on SPs.
  18. Take me too! I bit the bream SP bug. Congrats on the PB for wild bass. Even low 30s for bream is excellent in my books! I don't know what you would define as slow but I was fishing Salt Pan today and I swear you can see a lot of big-ish fish near the surface just cruising. I'm guessing either mullet or bream. Didn't get any hookups but a few takes (I think I need to work on my striking). Always a lot of fish there. I reckon someone like you could do the damage there.
  19. Wow.. small world guys. Great fish and a good read!
  20. Excited for the upcoming Pirtek Fishing Challenge!

  21. Good game by the dogs. Too bad they lost but they look in good stead as their team will get back to full strength over the coming weeks, hopefully.
  22. Update for end of Round 2:
  23. Well done. Where abouts were you fishing? What baits did you use?
  24. Nice catch. These are considered squire?
