  1. Hi there raiders, I have a ripetidd electric bow mount with 55lb thrust. Just wanted to know what type of extension wire can I buy for extending the wire to the battery supply. In the past I used a cable that was 8mm thick buy had very thin strands of wires within it. I am not too sure whether i need this type or thicker strands. Also was interested to know what amps or what other data I need to make a good selection on the right cable. Any help would be greatly appreciated Marco
  2. What an excellent report. Normally I do not sleep well because I have to go to work in the morning. Best of all you do not have toclean the fish and they live another day to breed and get bigger. Sounds like a cracker of a morning, hope you get some more fish on plastics in future, they definitly work. Marco.
  3. I have the 798cisi. It is very easy to set up, Very accurate The button functions are easy to use and navigate Not too sure what the difference between the US price is but you may want the Australian one for warranty purposes maybe. I bought mine from Huey and it was the best price around. Highly recommended.
  4. Looking at the transducer mount it also appears to be mounted with either silicon or sikaflex. I think at speed I would be concerned with the sounder being ripped off the hull overtime (maybe you are going to screw it on). Hope this also helps Squidboy
  5. That is one magical shot! Where about is that taken from?
  6. I have a Top Ender 4.7 and it comes with a 70 litre under floor tank. It is a recent model one so things may have changed from your model. Alternativley, might be worthwhile doing a search for a product brochure for that year and see what the internet will hold for you. Cheers Squidboy
  7. Hi Predator, I have pictures of one in the selling section of this site. If you want I am home this weekend if you want to see it physically. I live in West Ryde. It is made by Steadfast marine and has videos of how they work on you tube on their site from memory. This may assist you with your enquiry online. Cheers Marco.
  8. Without going to the record section, this one must be close! Congratulations. If you got a photo of it next to some keys (Check if I am right for this month) you should try fish of the month. Squidboy
  9. Nice one mako. Like always producing the goods.

    ANGLAPRO BOATS

Funny reply Andrew. Yes, that would be me. Mate, if you want to book in a Chiro Anglapro is the way to go. Great quality plate boat, excleent stregnth, quality suzuki four stroke. But the ride in some relatively minor chop was like bouncing in a jumping castle. PM me cause I would be happy to speak about it over the phone. One of those trailer magazines also claimed 40+ knots on the 50 HP. Now that was bogas, lucky to hit 30 MAX. But 27 was about right. On the other hand. Trout fishing MACHINE!!!. Smooth waters slow trolling is is excellent. I wont put the product down in any smooth water. But I would watch the chop. Horses for courses as usual but my wife has a crook back, so the boat had to go. Squidboy
  11. Excellent catch there. Seemed to be an excellent day to be on the water and it definitly beat being at work. Good to see fishraiders sharing their catch with their neighbours too. My neighbours love the fish I bring home to them because I normally do not eat a whole lot of fish.
  12. Great post, better than trying to stop them yourself. You never know what these people are carrying.

    Tow Car

Don't have the low range as I could not get it as an option. All the members on this sight have been really helpful. Thanks slot members. Will have to get back on with a report on how it all went.

    Tow Car

For the two posts above, this is perfect information. It answers my question to a tea. I didn't want an exhaust on the back that makes that terrible noise, but from what I gather from your posts I should be ok with towing my qunnie. Great advice Fisho's look forward to make trips with the car and boat. Squidboy.

    Tow Car

Lol, war. Nit buying into any arguements but I am looking at all your positive advice. Alternative could be to buy a cheap v6 auto just for the boat ramp. No point in me burning up a clutch is a suby

Give me the eight week waiting time and PM me. I will let you know. One kind member has stated the MRT Performance offers some upgrade packages for the turbo engines. I do not need to be the hoon type but it could be a bit of the fix when pulling off the ramp. Also, brakes is the other thing. Besides pulling the boat, I will be reviewing how well it stops.

I own an XT turbo 2.5 litre. I used to won a 317KW Senator which would make you forget that you had a trailer on the back

Hi Raiders, I have just ordered another boat. It is 4.5 Metres on a braked trailer. Now I know my subaru forester book loves to say that it can two 1200kg braked, but reality is that it may not do it well. Just wanting to know whether there are other Subsaru Forester drives out there that tow 4.5m aliminium boats roughly 800kg and how the Subaru handles the pulling, breaking and turning of corners. Love to hear from you all, I used to tow a 4.2 aliminium boat weighing about 500-600KG and I knew it was behind me, but when the turbo was on it felt like there was nothing behind me. Cheers Squidboy
  19. Mmmmm, I had my bungs stolen one morning at a boat ramp in sydney at 4am in the morning whilst I went to the toilet one day. Was not a funny joke or a 'great steal'. If so many people are complaining about stolen stuff I would like to see the same tracking devices on boats that were introduced for cars (GPS trackers). This way we can find the criminals before they cross a state border!!! Not fair stealing, just go buy your own please!
  20. We found the current was running but throughout the day it dropped right off.
  21. Hi Raiders, I like to keep some reports short, so here goes: Headed out with Mako for some Reserch and Developmenton Snapper. Headed straight in search of fishy reefs Lots of reef fish were caught before Mako lands three snapper back to back. Squidboy nill Squidboy gets dusted by 1 snapper and then virtually spooled by what we believe was a shark Ok, spot two, nutter. Spot three after some rearranging the anchor. Squidboy gets three snapper, biggest being 51cm for the day. High fives on the boat. Squidboy nthen gets dusted by another pink horse. Just want to thank Mako for get me amongst the snapper today. It was an exceptional day on the water and the weather got even better as the day progressed. Now to go eat some snapper backed in the oven with veges! Mako has the photos, he may post shortly. Squidboy
  22. I must agree with Tuffy. I fitted a SE Sport 300. The result was excellent stability, excellent planning with the con being loosing 3 knots at top end. Fuel economy also improved. I used to have the el cheapie on a boat a long time ago and that 'dig' in people speak about is the scariest thing in the world. They went straight in the bin after that experience. Depends what you are after. I would prefer to lose three knots over coming home with a bad back and an empty fuel tank.
  23. Ubelievable!!! Great pics and fantastic fish! Going to head out again for that magical snapper next week.
  24. Thats one excellent feed of fish there!!! Just a question, if I may. When you 'float the baits' do you use a physical float, or just the baits unweighted? Cheers Squidboy

    T - Tops

Tuffy, You might want to speak to Forumla 1's Red Bull team. With a wing that big you might experience some further lift and boat performance. I cant have you going faster than my Suzzy, so you will have to submit your plans with the council and then get approval from me. Looks good, I am a bit worried about how it may get in your way, and further more, I like boat space, so would a good investment in a great hat, wind jacket and raincoat be enough? Marco
