I was lucky enough to buy a Humminbird 798cisi some years ago (Excellent product). Since then I sold my boat and my boat dealer fitted my sounder on a Quintrex Top Ender 450. Since my new boat purchase I have had some transducer problems with the mount popping off or snapping. off This could be because the transducer has not been set up correctly as I have not been in water with much debris. I have had this happen three times on three different settings. Just wondering whether anyone has the same boat and sounder so I could share how their transducer is setup. It might even be the same on Humminbird and Quintrex boats in general. I would like the sounder to work properly sounding the bottom at speed and not breaking off. Another aspect I thought of was how much the boat raises to the plane, could this could also be a factor on my issue.
Any help would be appreciated. I have a few photos below of how it was set up:

I am a little confused. If the bag limit is 10 and possession is 20. That means when i am on the water I can have 10 say silver bream, and 10 silver bream in the freezer at home malking the total in posssesion 20?
What you will find is the tank leaks at the top, underneath the hull. I had the exact problem because the tank was not fitted flush with the hull. What you can do is run a bead of silicone under your hull at the top of you tank. This is where your tank is mounted to the underside of you hull. You won't have any leaks after this I can assure you. Cheers
I think that's what the new aluminum I-beam trailers try to achieve. Although the bolt on bits are made out of galvanize, they are pretty easy to wash and change
I have been here the same week and been on two fish a session on sunrise. It has been tough. Some fish were between 45 and 50cm. But you are spot in tough tough tough week.
Second hand quintrex top ender is a good start. Fits three very comfortable, can get a 60hp on and 4.5m boat. Good for the river, good for the harbour and can get you outside too.
