  4. Dont know what I was thinking but went into pittwater today for a look around. Thought I would troll around and see what was going to leap out at me. I trolled from towlers to flint and steel for a 6" pike and a good soaking. Tried a couple of drifts over the weed beds at flint and steel with some fresh prawn for a donut and another soaking. The wind picked up so I took off to patonga and had a beer and chips(highlight for the day). Then it was off to lion island for another troll and a flick into the wash with a bream rig, another donut and a soaking. Now Im really cold and wet, so decide to pull the pin. You wouldnt believe it but the sun came out on the way back from lion. I stopped the boat at west head and feed the trumpeters for 15 minutes and keep going to bayview. Just before bayview in the 8 knot zone, got another soaking. Awww crap. But when I think about it. The day could have been worse...................................................................... I could have been at work....LOL

Cheers Peter Hahaha,,,,,,,Too late I have already eaten them....... Thank YOU saltrix, I had a great day and met another fellow raider. The fish were a bonus. Not to mention the whale watching.

  15. Ha.... I wish they were that vigilant in sydney. There might be some fish for the common man
  16. Went out with a mate from Qld for a bit of a fish in Pittwater today. We wernt in the best of shape after my sons wedding, but when you gotta go you gotta go. Headed off to west head for a couple of yakkas which took 1 1/2 hrs. Then decided to hit flint and steel. Managed a 38cm flattie and a just legal tailor.Moved to patonga trying to shelter from the wind and got a couple of jackets. Then it was off to juno. Dropped in a livie, another tailor, and that was it for the day. The guy in the next boat was catching the biggest yakkas I have ever seen though. They were as big as the tailor we caught. Aww well not the best of days but we will give the harbour a smash tomorrow and tuesday and wednesday AND thursday.
  17. Nice little haul Basil....... Hey Christo, I presume you caught the most again LOL

  20. Not bad bro..... Not bad at all.. So are we off outside now??. Im still lookin' for that elusive big one.
  21. At Rose bay we were met at the wharf by about 30 Japanese tourists who were taking photos of the pelican that was hanging around (not me the bird!!). When they saw the catch they hot-footed it down to where I was for a look. They asked to take some photos so I obliged and posed in a few pics. I didnt realise that they wanted individual pics with me and the fish (Kev got in a few too!) so each one came up and sat next to me holding one of the fish!! Cleaning the fish took way longer than normal!! Anyway I'm happy to help a tourist enjoy their holiday in the great country of ours!! Thanks Kev for taking me out. Go the X-RAP!!! Dont forget that you will be a celebrity in japan. PS.. This IS the best country in the world, and Im a foriegner
  22. hahahahahaha Looks like the student is taking over from the master. Lift your game Dad Nice fishing at 1770, only been landbased but had plenty of table fish.
