  1. There was talk of a carp virus a while ago but that seems to have gone quite. Anyone know of any updates?
  2. Would you mind posting the photo?? cheers Richard
  3. A huge thankyou to DerekD who took time out to give me many pointers on how to improve my fishing. You are truly a font of knowledge. Cheers Richard
  4. Hey BB, Have you considered the polarised clip ons that flip up. They're not the most fashionable but they'd go on top of your normal glasses (I'm assuming they're multifocals), then they'd be not need to swap between glasses then. Otherwise you can get a pair of polarised ones just for fishing (as your transitions is good for other situations), but again if they're multifocals that won't be cheap. If your going to use your prescription glasses on the water it's a MUST to clean them in fresh water when your finished because your glasses probably have an anti-reflection coating that can be a bit fragile. cheers Richard
  5. I know my company no longer does the polarised transitions. But anyhow I think the amount of polarisation in Transitions Xtractive is not as much as a straight polarised lens.
  6. Well done on the fish. Just be careful though, it was my understanding that the 5km limit applied to all of Sydney not just LGA of concern cheers Richard
  7. Caught this flathead a few weeks ago. Found this bait hook that had migrated down its body nearly to the first fin. Must have been there quite a while as the hook was completely rusty and as you can see the barb was gone.
  8. Was thinking will this affect you if you want to sell the house later?
  9. Wanted to get some opinions. When fishing for bream with SP I think early morning and late arvo are probably the best times but what are the best tides? And is time or tide more important?
  10. Just wondering when does a fish normal take a metal vibe (blade?) With SP it’s generally on the drop, but metal vibes drop much faster, so do fish usually take them then while they’re dropping or when their on the floor, particularly thinking of bream. i would guess with bream they’d take them on the bottom coz I know they’re a bit picky and shy away from SP if they’re falling too fast, so why they take a would they take a rapidly falling piece of metal. Am I right?? i haven’t much success with vibes and want to them a good go. Any other tips also welcome! Cheers Richard
  11. From the sounds of his missus, i was thinking more when she chases him out the door beating him on the head with her new combo!
  12. Rey why don't you try it. Worse comes to worse I've got a spare couch
  13. Just wondering what’s the best way to rig a live bait land based I want to do it with sinkers, not a float or balloon. Cheers Richard
  14. I see you said your mate's a vet, suppose your lucky he didn't decide to put you down!!
