  1. Great report Craig... that plate of chips and squid is looking pretty good to me! Cheers Jim
  2. Well, based on the general Billy Slater and storm sentiment you should all like this photo from the Lockout Protest protest today...
  3. Hey Frank... good to see you there today. Yes, it was a good turn out and the crowd was very well behaved.
  4. Roosters here too for the same reasons and yes, I was not surpised to hear Slater go off. 5 out of 7 players have beaten the charge since shoulder charge ban was introduced so, given who it is and the fact that its the grand final , and the questionable evidence that his right arm made first contact ( very sus that one) the judiciary was probably never going to stop him playing in the G/Final.
  5. Unbelievable!,,, I have enough trouble skiing on snow!
  6. Great job... you have to love a good repair job. Cheers Jim
  7. I'll be there wearing a Raider Tshirt and a Stop the lockout Cap. This is what I look like ( mores the pity!) so don't be shy if you see me. Cheers
  8. Is that the one? I think that is the only one I have used and it did get a result off North Head. Cheers Jim
  9. I'll be there with my Fishraider shirt and my stop the lockout cap! Cheers Jim
  10. LOL! We all make typos buddy... I just couldn't resist the comment. Cheers Jim
  11. Fantastic fish Scratchie! Isn't it amazing that you could very easily have called it a day and missed out on a huge fish. Well done on the record too! Cheers Jim
  12. Good Effort Neil... a nice brace of fish! Cheers Jim
  13. Nice one Saltrx, that's a great result although I am curious... do the Wrasse use GIO or AAMI? ? Cheers JIm
  14. A good feed of flatties there Yowie... I bet they went down well. Whats your preferred cooking method? Jim
  15. Looks positive but of course, we need to keep a watchful eye on this.
  16. Could be. I have been trying to find something on the salmon breeding cycle.
  17. I think squid ess are white an usually elongated but I don't know for sure.
  18. Hi Raiders, I know I am not giving you much to go off ( No phone , no camera) but any ideas on what type of marine creatures belongs to the following eggs. I went for my Sunday swim in the Harbour (16 degrees and one of those "why am I doing this" moments!) There were masses of clear hard jelly eggs about 8 mm across with just a small black tadpole looking larvae inside. The eggs were about 8mm in diameter and the larvae at this stage were probably about 3mm long. Many of the eggs were in long strands while others were floating individually. There were literally millions of them along Shark Beach at Neilsen Park and probably elsewhere I would imagine. Hope there is enough info for an educated guess. Cheers Jim
  19. Yes, Happy Father's Day all. Some time ago I told the story in one of the forums of how thieves stole much of my tackle including a cedar spool avley reel my dad gave me when I was 14 and built my own beach rod. It was upsetting because he rarely bought gifts and this seemed very special. The reel was worth very little to anyone else but me. Anyway, I retold the story a few months ago and my wife went and tracked one down on e-bay and gave it to me a present for Fathers Day. She's a gem! Cheers Jim
  20. Good work Baz. For those who may have been turned off the STOP THE LOCKOUT Facebook page, it might be worth having another look. There were a lot of hot-heads in the early day , still a little shell-shocked that were taking out their frustrations on the wrong people but that has died down now and people are generally a lot more respectful. Cheers Jim
  21. Good read Blackfish! Cheers Jim
  22. Good work Sam!, Those flatties will provide a great feed! Cheers Jim
  23. Not bad... I think many of us have fought fish for ten minutes in a lot less water! Great effort
