Very nice champ!!! I went back on Tuesday Arvo, lilli bath were good packed, took my son out for a session, got their and there were 5 people, 2 left. So we ended up with a decent spot. 5 minutes later came another 2 bloke and asked if can cast on the right side… I said sure since I’m a nice guy. Another 30min later came another bloke😅 so there were 7 people fishing in a line of 10 metre or less. managed 9 good size yellow tails 5 mullets!!!? Strange. And a bream. Might try and go during the day one time and see what happen might bump into ya😁

These are caught inside the lake or near the mouth? You are right they tide are always fast. Tried twice, but not the best timing water running 30-40kms a hr ain’t fun to fish😂 but the beach produce monster whitting

What’s the average size ball sinker you used? Ball sinker maybe? I tried but my line always go from 12 o’clock and knock all the way to 9 o clock…. And what rig champ? Some say pana some say simple ball sinker with 1 metre trace and a bean around the hook?

Booked a holiday house right at the water, so I thought I make a little post. apparently we got 1 crab in 5 days, with 2 traps on the back yard jetty, beam are nothing big just one legal 27cm. Plenty of baby beam and diamond fish. Went to the lake with the mrs and walked around the shallow with my sugapen sureface lure, and managed to find whitting but nothing big!?!! went around land base for prawning on a run out tide, also no lack!!!! I did managed one keeper in a hr😂 1 keeper prawns. The myth were right there not much prawns here🤣 don’t know what went wrong, but the upside is kids were having a great time catching tiny 🐠. will like to hear some honest opinions as how things are for people fishing without a boat👌👌

Sounds easy, I tried at the lake, near the mouth opening to the beach, water were coming in easily 20-30kms a hr😂 so fast sinker couldn’t hold, I gave up after 30min😂 maybe I stuff up bad. Bad spot

Them scales/ skin are tough to take off, and hard to cut. Pour Hot boiling water over the fish skin will make it a lot easier to come off, but make sure you cook it straight after, we have 4 families so we managed to finish it

Really need to know what size sinker and hook and rig are used for whitting. If you don’t mind me asking. as I’m hopeless at targeting these😂 many thanks

Like I said before, headed over to burille lake. Didn’t have much luck with beach fishing, didn’t have a clue wtf We were doing, so we hit the rocks, did pretty well. Plenty of grouper around, had to up the game to 100lb line😂. They were tough. 40lb lines couldn’t hold them back especially when they dive for cover. Here’s a few snap shoots. While I’m not fishing I was back at the camp wharf baiting up and showing little kids how to to fish. great little trip but the weather kinda spoiled a little.
