  1. Nice one sly dog! Was that down at the rock pool near the bridge? or Down with the red necks playing the banjo's? G

    Mullet

Night time you should have better luck with the bigger ones Greg
  3. Hey Joe Mate, Blackies I think are easier to fish from the shore than in a boat. To hard to control the line unless you anchor front and back to keep the boat in one spot. The Skeeter isn't really set up to fish at anchor and my saftey anchor is a bit of a joke! G
  4. Nice Bass there Stewy! Man I gotta get back out there and work thoughs river fish out! Greg
  5. There are plenty of guys out the front in tho's sorts of boats on the right days. I use to fish out of a 435 hornet all the time out there spinning the washes. Just make sure you fit a good bilge pump with a auto switch for the times you cop a wave over the front! I now fish out of a full blown bass boat that sit's even lower than the hornet did. I still go, it's a little wetter but still feel totally safe. Work your way into it slowly and you will be fine. No fish is worth your life remember! Greg
  6. Hi Locodave I was introduced to that spot by a member of another site when he showed me the art of blackie fishing. Only clues I will give is that it's a "dog" of a park near the markets To all the Raiders out there that have never met up with randoms from the site for a fish, DO IT! The last 2 weeks I have met up with 2 members that I have never fished with before. Met some very nice people, learnt some new things and helped them catch some memorable captures. Things like these bring me back to fish week after week and if I get to make new friends while I'm doing it even better! To Joe and Chris Thanks again for great times and larfs, we'll have to do it again reel soon. It's fantastic just getting out there and hanging out with like minded people! Cheers Greg
  7. Sunday I went for my first ever river bass fish. JustinP, my son and I drove out to the Nepean for a spot of bassin. We caught a few bass each so mission accomplished. Here are a couple of em. Monday(today) Justin and I met up with fellow raider Chris(ceph) for a blackfish. The downs were thin but we still caught a few each and Chris caught the largest measuring in at 39cm. A few from today. Chris's 39cm one of mine Thanks for coming today Chris and it was a pleasure to fish with another Raider. We'll have to do it again soon buddy. Cheers Greg

    Reel Repairs

Hey bmar Mate your looking about 3-4 at the moment! I had a few in that Patty said were "his" and they still took 3 weeks! 40-60 bux a reel to! G
  9. At least if he is driving a CL55 he's insured! G
  10. Good read LB and yep your making me hungry with your dinner photo Re on the flats, maybe try the incoming tide instead. The fish then will be pushing hard up into the shallows searching the newly covered flats so they should be easier to target. They should be on the chew too if they are up there. Just my thoughts Greg

    Stand Or Sit?

I have a bass boat and the seats are nice at normal speeds but at high speed over harbour chop they are a little firm. Not to good on the back on long choppy runs and the ball slap on the seats on re-entry on ferry wash is a killer! Maybe a dug out section in the seat for your balls to hang would be nice and yes I'm being serious! Greg
  12. That was a cracker fish Joe and the biggest king we have put ova the side of the current Skeeter to! Just wish the bream and salmon were a bit more on the chew too! All in all it was a beautiful day to be out on the harbour and with fish like that how could it not...... Dude your more than welcome on the boat anytime... Cheers Greg

  16. Hi Roberta Sounds like a great session with big bust offs! Were you fishing string or cabbage over there? Re spots# If your based on the north side, down at the Spit Bridge there is a good eddie that forms on the incoming tide south western side of the bridge next to the pylon and beach area. There is a car park just before you go over the bridge infront of the marina. If your mobile, we have been smashing them over the other side of the city near Balmain. PM me if you want that info. Had a top little sesh before work this morning of about 20. My mate even caught a bream on weed!! First time I have seen that! Cheers Greg
