    Driving Goggles

ta dudes Those fuglys are even cheap! I would like larger ones to get some face protection to, thats why I wear Prada's atm. I will try the rainX, I have used it on glass but was just worried on plastic lens G
  2. Some type of sand eel would be my guess. Greg

    Driving Goggles

Hi Raiders Does anyone have or know of clear lens driving goggles? I tried a snow ski shop but they only had dark tint lens ones. In low light(2 dark for sunnies) I need something to protect my eyes from bugs oh and gulls now In the rain even more. Last night I went for a run over to middle harbor to chase some bream on surface lures, then the drive home in the rain I thought my eye balls were going to get popped by rain drops at 50mph. I have a full mask somewhere at home but the lens fogs up easy, will that anti fog stuff kill the lens? Greg

    Members Boats.

This is my current boat. 2007 Skeeter ZX200 Runs a Evinrude 225HO motor This is the best bass/bream boat I have had the pleasure to own. Go's like a rocket and is soft and dry, well unless you submarine it threw a wave! Stability is amazing and makes a perfect lure casting boat.
  5. One weird thing I forgot to mention, I would like to thank Lowrance sounders for saving my life! At the start of the day just after the Gladesville bridge, we were flying along at 68mph and a darn sea gull committed suicide straight into the sounder that's mounted on the side of my console! If the sounder wasn't there or as big it would have either collected my face or my shoulder! Lowrance LCX110C Color sounder GPS driver protection! Now that's a combo unit! Greg
  6. Nice one guys! It was a good size feild and to get near the top was a great effort. Pat and I went out with a totally new plan of attack, more fun and less stress. Top water was the order of the day with us chucking poppers in areas we normally fish but have never fished on the surface. Things started off very well and we thought we stood a chance but then things turned the fishes way! Four fish in the well very early with 2 nice 800 gram'ers Dropped fish arfter dropped fish then the tide ran out of puff and so did the bites We stayed with the surface as it's just to fun but in hind site we should have changed to our normal drop down the hulls routine to at least finish the bag. Oh well that's fishing but top water is just to much fun to change back to boring gulp fishing! Greg

    200 Hp E Tech

  8. Nah not for me, it would be a bugger in the racks!
  9. Thanks King and Jethro Being a boater makes it different in boater non boater for me. Take ABT Sydney harbor, I didn't fish any of my fav boats in the cove for fear of my non boaters knowing which ones they are. They are both good anglers and both fish the harbor and fish team events as well. So I walked in with a totally different run than I usually fish and it showed in my resaults in the end....... I love teams events as the secrets stay on the boat. G
  10. Hi Raiders Not sure how many tournement fishers are here but I will ask away...... Do you rather team events or the standard pairing of boater/nonboater???? Boater/nonboater= your fishing with a mystery person each day. Team= You fish with one of your mates. If there was 2 events on in one day, similar money, prizes and distance, what would you chews to do? Cheers Greg
  11. Ceph Make sure you don't give up to early on the fireline at the start as fireline gets better as it wears alittle. G
  12. I found that the thicker the line the more knots I got out of all my stellas. The older ones seem to be better than the newer ones. The best was the old AR jap ones. Try 2-4lb braid and it will be slightly better or as you say "ebay" it and get your self a Steez or Exist. I have had hardly any loop knots with the Exists. I like the larger spools on these and are lighter than the Stellas in the 1000 size even tho these are in the 2500 size. Larger spools seem to have lesser knots. Greg
  13. NIce one Penguin The AMG, is that a E55???? (nice plates ) Greg

  21. This is a 10 min clip my fishing partners and I took while fishing last years Windamere Classic. Dam fishing, which I havent done much of is just awesome. Just the piece and quiet combined with the fresh air makes the trip worth while. The fish are just a bonus. The footage was cut down from about and hour. Well have a watch and let me know what you think. I have a few more when we were mucking around with still cameras on movie mode there to. This was the first when we changed to video. Leader Knot

Hi Guys New to here but have been fishing a long time and have read this site lots. As they say a change is as good as a holiday! I like uni uni if they are similar in line thickness or will use a slim beauty knot if the leader is alot thicker. Here is a link and you can download the movie. http://www.midcurrent.com/articles/knots/slim_beauty.aspx Greg
  23. If they are going for the bread and your not getting any hits off the top try a small sinking one off the floating fly. Tie your floating fly off with a 1-2ft tag and then tie the sinking one to the end. It works 2 ways, you have a floater as a fly and as a indicator plus the small trailer that will look like the burley slow sinking in the trail. Greg
