  9. Hi gents i have a 12ft Sensor surf 8-15kg and a that is my all round rod rock and beach. ... I use this for catching bream of the rocks as well and also for spinning. The reel i use a lot is a Pflueger Supreme 8040 i have a few spare reels so vary line size and capacity some with braid some without. Like you this was a bycatch for me. Just luck of the spot they just like the same places the bream do. Cheers R&B

  12. Hey Raiders away for the weekend with the family and thought i would sneak a late afternoon fish in of the stones. After catching a couple of smallish bream. I got smashed big time so i rigged up again and same thing happened. Both times my knot pulled i was really upset as that never happens to me. Rigged up again and this time put an extra lock on my knot this was my last cast and last bait as i had to get back to the family. This little fella jumps on my line, took about 10 minutes to get in and another 10 to get out of the water, bloody near fell in getting it out, clocked in at 81cm and went 5.4kg cleaned. New PB by about 30cm. I normally use 6kg mono but decided this time to use 8kg mono as last time i fished this spot i got cleaned up a couple of times now i know why. I had to pull the fridge apart in the cabin so i could fit it in. Cheers R&B

  16. Mate that completely sucks. No matter what we do in life we offend people, don't worry about the people you offended think of the people you brought joy to. They are the ones that will always be there for you. Remember Xsite to always keep that line tight and just keep on fighting it is never over. May the fishing gods smile kindly on you. 17. Hey Neil excuse my ignorance i said it was the Murray that is the Bidgee you live near. We could do with more rain to flush out the rivers get more feed going for the baitfish. That brings in the big fellas. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  18. Super photos Neil. Long time since i have seen the Murray. Watched River Monsters last night and the guy was catching Sawfish 150 miles inland on the Fitzroy. Started the juices flowing again for summer. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  19. Had to laugh about the baking of the salmon. My dad did the same to my first salmon i caught it was terrible. Down on the south coast recently with my dad and we caught a heap of salmon off the beach kept a few and through the rest back. Took them back to the unit filleted them left the skin on fried them in the pan with olive oil pepper salt and a little lemon juice. Trick just cook them through even a tad glassy on the inside. Even the kids destroyed them. Had to go fishing every day to get more it was terribly good fun Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
