i caught one in march and cut it up and froze it in clip lock bags. It did me for 4 outtings on the kings over 3 weeks!!

This also could be th ole decoy post to get everyone into middle harbour.. when all the fish might have been caught in the main harbour the pic has clontarf in the background and theyre heading back in from main harbour so i reckin you all should hit the main harbour and NOT middle harbour!!

here we go , the ole spot x debate again U need to put in a little effort to find your fish/bait,come on!! Feels better in the long run doesnt it .Especially when you discover a new spot, that produces ,all by yourself. Getting given the name Sailors Bay Wreck is a BIG hint as to where the spot is.Sailors Bay aint that big. Alot of people wont even do that for you. Cheers Buddy

thats a good sign im sure the salmon chase the pillies so meybe were in for a good salmon season this year unlike the last season,which was average i remember acres of them off north head the sound of them as they came towards the boat was amazing heres hoping

Sorry to hear about that mate. I had a fool reverse his/her trailer into the front of my ute at Tunks 6 weeks ago ,popped my front bumper and left a huge dent in it with the imprint of a roller. Didnt bother to leave a note or anything .... @$%&*$@ coward. Now i have a $500 excess to pluck out of nowhere so i know what it feels like.

Man i wasted 3 good squid at that spot last sunday on bream/pinkies/leatheries the terrible trio of pickers!! Then turned one southern (.5kg) into 4 kings at that spot. stripped it up into about ten baits and used single 5/0 hook rig. still got pecked to pieces though. Have you connected leader to your braid using the albright knot? Cheers mate

Yep only squid the first king came in on some week old frozen squid from last outting i didnt want to waste the fresh stuff on pickers it was after that i sent down a livie and all hell broke loose most of the ambers were caught on live squid

Gday fellow Raiders went for a fish today managed 8 squid .........hard hard going decided on my spot for the morning and the first fish was a nice 67 king(esky) i then landed and released a 61 cm model(released) then a 53 cm Amberjack(released) Then these two came aboard(in the esky) i was fighting what i thought was a nice Amberjack and a CLOSE FoLLoWeR.... i was thinking how good the "follower" was at matching the other ambers circling and so on, I then realised as they came to the surface they were both hooked on my twin hook rig i use for the live squid , A first for me ,they even look like a pair to me I was gobsmacked I then landed three more ambers(two kept 1 released) Then caught a really healthy 68 cm king which i thought was going to be at least 80cm by the way it fought lol anyway it was sent back to grow a bit bigger great morning,bloody freezing squid seem to be getting scarce(fished out?) i dont know but definately schools of Amberjack in the Harbout ATM Cheers All Jason

Mate i think it was you two i was chatting to at around 11 just before we left the harbour, My son landed a 72 cm king ... new pb for him his mate landed a 68 and i landed a 65 took ages to get them all on fresh or live squid(they went off as soon as the change came through) Long hard day ,crap weather,but two happy young fishos(and me very relieved) cheers boys good to meet you both
