fished nth side of the island yday..cold green water current wrong way.25 knot noreaster after lunch..mixed bag with heaps of bonito a few small reds two reds around 3kg ..I hooked up on the most amount of sharks I have ever had the displeasure of finding..10 /20 mins on each one to see if they were cobes or anything to keep..then bust them off..whalers fro 3ft to 6ft..ive never had this problem anywhere before...hopefully some good water will push in soon..the fish were coming up cold as to touch surface temp was 20.4 at best..rick

such negativity from some people is the reason forum sites are failing..i have been an active member of a local site in my area for a number of years..the problem is the lack off activity onsite has me scratching my head..sometimes in the past few months there is periods of seven days without a topic being put to page..i joined raider after viewing for a long time now I love being an active member of a thriving site...26000 or 260 who cares ?? so long as you have a diverse membership with different thoughts and the same thoughts every member benefits...news on where and when..help with fishing or boating problems can be a blessing for members needing aid...if someone doesn't like the site instead of bagging it I recommend they fade into obscurity with the other forums that have failed...my rant apologies to all you faders...rick

wow so many answers me thinks depends where you are fishing..i catch most of my bream in lake mac on floating bread..my spot for bigguns I use mullet strips or pillie..my fave rock spot crabs..beach I use worms caught on site..everybody has a fave...sometimes its whatever you chuck in their face lol...rick

ive lived in the area for a number of years and the only time anybody came and checked was when a houseboat tied up there for three weeks giving all us fishos and other boaters the shits cause its also a pump out station for human waste..thus the shits..haha..rick

I have an inspection port just in front of my fuel tank in the rear of my vsea..it off to one side and I use it to drop a bilge pump in to drain any water that gets in if im on the water for extended periods..i intend to install a full time pump in there but havnt got around to it yet..i installed ports in front of the bases i put in my easyrider I used to own .it let me put alloy plates under the bases and made it rock solid by spreading the load over a larger area...mark the ports hole drill a few holes and cut out with a jigsaw with the blade cut shorter so you don't hit the hull underneath and do damage then sikaflex and screw it down..voila..rick

I found in that area and further north its wise to make sure you have a large working bige pump as the torrential showers of rain up there can dump a lot of water in your hull quickly..by the way nice lookin rig...rick

have you thought about cutting a hole and installing an inspection hatch for access..either in front or behind pedestal not to the side as you may have a stringer to contend with..rick

dave the squid are just starting to fire..try 50<100 mtrs out from dropover where channel meets lake..we use two small jigs on dropper rig on bottom...quite good flatties at the moment.sps anywhere channel or lake..rick

sometime between 2.30am and 5.30 am this morning my neighbours cat was stolen from the footpath in front of his house..its a 5.2 ally cat .blue in colour.windscreen model no canopy.twin 60hp johnsons not sure yr mod but white in colour..taken from gorokan..twin axle trailer...name on side KRAZY KAT in white I don't have fotos but if seen pm me..rick
