  2. if you cant take carbies off.take out drain plugs on carbies and pump some fresh fuel thru once u put new line and bulb in..definetly spray small amount of fuel into cylinders to lubricate rings then turn over slowly...even tired your on the ball Fabian...rick

  3. aaaahhhhh that would be a cod...no barra in the Lachlan hahaha...I get em in pitch black...find a spot that's clear of snags and easy for casting....we getem in the middle of open pools once its dark as they come out and roam...stick with it mate it will happen..rick

  4. great report..kings are starting to come back in good numbers now..bigger ones are still hard to find..i don't know where they all go once they reach legal????but, rats are great fun on light line and will keep you busy for ages...hope you can improve youpb next trip..rick

  5. circle hooks would not be my choice for whiting..stick to long shank hooks...ive been down the circle hook path and I just stick to 540 French hooks for bream or suicides work as well..i tried them on snapper and imo they are a fail on reds..too bony in the mouth..rick

  6. you can get squid in the bay near the boat ramp..the rocks out front of lighthouse look great but disappoint with barren bottom and not much fish..if swell drops you may spin up some bonnies salmon tailor along rock ledges that face north down from lighthouse..occasionaly blackfish and drummer also if cabbage is growing along edge...rick

  7. there are plenty of ways to get a marlin..at the moment with bait schools inshore.slow trolling or drifting livebaits would be number one choice.next would be skipbaits trolled at 4/5 knots round bait schools..then a spread of lures..6 inch up to 12 inch..too many colours to choose from..  everyone has fave colours..my gotos are evil..lumo..stripy..lilac..and black n red over pink..live slimys swim better than yakkas if trolling them..yakkas work great drifting with the bait schools..good luck..rick
