I might be a bit of a sceptic but it looks a bit fake..ive never seen one swimming round with half its head out of the water...to me it looks like a mount floated in the water..just cant see any definition in dorsal..normally in a live fish you can see the rays in the fin showing...rick

mate they are the bomb on whiting  lightest head you can cast..fish dead slow with tiny flick of rod tip ..rick

Spent a couple of hours drifting in the yak over some sand flats..landed one flattie from 3  half a doz bream and probably 2 doz whiting .a lot of small whiting  they luv gulp sandworms..went thru half a pack in two hrs  nothing big but heaps of fun

I catch garries on bait jigs slowly retrieved across surface with small berlet float in front with bread n tuna oil...use jigs with size 10 hooks and I cut the white feathers off with scissors level with bend of hook or they don't hookup properly...sometimes tiny cubes of prawn added if finicky...rick

could happen ..ive seen a 20/25kg little black chasing frigates along blacksmiths breakwall..50mtrs from channel entrance...got a black and a stripe inside 500mtrs from front of moon island at the heads..i just doubt a blue at the [heads]...rick

at Swansea hds or out from Swansea hds...big difference..saying that we got one 400 mtrs out from bird island...there has been a few marlin on the middle and southern canyons in the last two weeks..that would be my guess..rick

also  not a ramp for solo launching  ..nowhere to tie up to and 100 mtrs uphill to carpark..suit driving on trailer quickly to counter water movement..rick

we get small ones in lake Macquarie..Sydney harbor is wide open to the ocean...there are a few species  some larger than others..but they will go in in good water on the run in tide...rick

suffers from wave action in nor east winds an can have surge goin up an down ramp..it was rebuilt a year ago but they didn't do that great a job...im in gorokan...rick
