Hey guys and gals, Heading to South West rocks in November for a few days with the extended family and am wondering if anyone have some advice on where to look for a good spot for the kids and then also one for just the adults, iv looked on Google maps and like the look of the salt water lagoon also the sand banks out by point Briner. Not looking for exact locations just general areas. Cheers, Brownie

Picnic point isn't to bad mate, esp with the kids it's quiet safe, iv caught mainly bream there but have seen flatties pulled in as well

Hey Raiders, Have been thinking of ways to get fresh live bait and have decided that the easier way for me ATM would be trapping minnows. Iv found an easy design for a home made trap using 2 coke bottles. Was just wondering if there is any laws against such thing in nsw??? All bait will be kept live and returned if not used . Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone knows of any places I can pick up fishing shirts mainly (sounds simple). I'm a larger guy so I'm looking at 7xl shirts I'm thinking America would be my best bet. Matt

You had me till you mentioned white wine. Nice red or a crisp cold beer is more my style but sounds amazing non the less. Now to get away from fishing the George's so I feel ok about eating my catch.

Up until recently when I bought a new set up I was using a cheep combo like yourself and there isn't nothing wrong with that, it's a good way to start and get experience. Sucks that the lizard got away but hopefully now with the anti reverse sorted you won't have that issue otherwise maybe source a spot where retrieval is a little easier or yeah a big net haha. Hey guys, By no means do I consider myself a rock fisho, iv had a few goes at it will work mates but that's about it, having said that I have surfed alot of my life and have been swept off rocks whilst surfing. I can not fathem how these people can think it's a smart idea. I love the sea and it still scares the hell outta me. Hopefully one day in my life time these people will learn.
