Hi mechanic checked compression a few months ago all good as it's a twin setup changed coil cod unit over no difference tried again yesterday cleaned all terminals noticed battery connection to motor loose don't think that would make a difference but seems a bit better maybe the terminals now just need to get on the water to test but who knows when that can happen cheers

Hi all I have a boat with twin tohatsu m40c motors 1 is not firing bottom cyl had to replace flywheel and trigger and exciter coils a few months ago and everything working fine, noticed running rough last trip pulled ignition leads no change on bottom cylI've swapped plugs ignition coil and cdi unit still no joy any ideas thanks

If all you are worried about is fuel use $8-10000 would take forever to recoup

Fished pittwater yesterday nothing but banjo and port Jackson sharks moved to lion island same thing went to rail bridge 1 undersized bream had 7 crab traps in 1 undersized blue water has cleaned up mostly but fishing crap I done better when water was filthy

Some people deserve crabs and more😁 but really I use witches hats in the boat hard enough to untangle them there do have a yak as well no way am I bringing crabs onboard ouch

Hi so had another go today at mouth of pittwater it's great everyone too scared to go out so late start on water 6 30.Tried palm beach side 1st only big catfish so decided to drift across mouth not lots but quality again 3 bream all 35 to 40 plus another 65cm flathead and another 45.stuck head outside for a look scary shit huge swell.have a go what's worst that can happen no fish?

Hi have a look at my report on pittwater on Tuesday water was filthy but managed biggest bream I've seen 65 cm flattie+a 40cm snapper at pittwater mouth don't forget clean salt water under dirty crap

Hi all no work and still no power since Sunday morning decided to take daughters boyfriend out for a fish. Launched parsley bay yacht washed up on side of ramp at mouth of parsley another yacht on rocks and about 4 more washed up trees and shit everywhere. Tried jump for a short while nothing happening so moved to west head pittwater caught nothing but rays and shovel nose .moved to palmy side of entrance few flatter while anchored then daughters bf caught biggest bream I've seen went 45cm but fat as let it go too nice to keep then I got one another beauty but not same calibre let it go thinking not enough for a feed. After getting a few underside flatter decided to drift few keepers then a keeper snapper in pittwater mouth then a 65cm flatter all fish solid good feed tonight thanks to bbq

Yeah cleaned everything with wire brush and scraped as you said .with so much info available now plenty of things can be tackled yourself

Hi ended up having to replace bushes earlier than I thought I would have to fairly easy just need to look at way it all goes together and solder new ones on if you are going to to try a starter motor rebuild pay attention to where everything goes not hard to clean up and solder bushes on

Hi have done 2 there 1st time on 1 of big boats shared with a couple same resort 2 hrs trolling nothing switched to bottom bouncing I got only fish 2 ÷ leather jackets that's fishing few years later went with charter kiwi guy had me single again went with a dad and about 10 year old son he got crook so cut day short but did land a 13 kg Wahoo i don't do much game fishing but just booked a day in Hawaii fishing over Xmas sorry can't remember names of charters but I think kiwi fella had a stabi cheers

How did you connect new brushes if not with solder?

Hi just an update pulled starter apart and decided to clean it up with degreaser and wire brush works great again will need to change brushes soon looks fairly easy.if your having trouble try cleaning it saved over $550on new one cheers

Hi having intermittent problem starting tohatsu m40c electric start sometimes starts no problem other times solenoid clicks but no starter turnover if I remove scowling and turn starter motor cog by hand can usually start by key again have swapped starter motor with spare and checked cleaned wiring I'm thinking solenoid any ideas thanks
