  1. G'day Greg, unfortunately there are no marinas in JB. The are however swing morings at Huskisson and Callala Bay. Hope you kick some butt down there. There's some great snapper to be had well inside the bay. Cheers Red
  2. Looks like a Pflueger Supreme. Excellent rods. Cheers Red
  3. Mark, you will need a bent butt rod with a AFTCO swivel roller tip. I'm currently running an Epoch X8s and it hasn't missed a beat thus far. Top reels Cheers Red
  4. I've been smoked big time on bream gear You will struggle to both cast and work a 7" lure on that rod. I'd be looking at getting a more suitable rod or downsize your lure. Good luck. Cheers Red

    "got Milk?"

Another great report Greg. Hope to get onto a milkie and a bonefish in the near future. Awesome fish Cheers Red
  6. Nice sticks there Hodgey. Pfleuger make some outstanding rods. I have a rack full of Pflueger Medalist rods with premium quality Fuji Titanium framed Silicone Carbide guides. Blanks are made in the USA. Great value for money rods considering the componentry used. Those H/B's look the goods. Nice colours . Cheers Red
  7. Nice rods. A good choice would be something like a 4500 Shimano Baitrunner. Cheers Red
  8. Great results The bug has well and truly bitten hard on you guys. Don't fight it because it takes years to beat it . Cheers Red

    Jb Squid

Excellent haul. Squidding is just too much fun Cheers Red
  10. G'day Byron, hope you are well. We've turned our attention back to Bluewater fishing and have given the mighty jewfish a wide berth for now. Been fluking the odd one on lures and getting the odd dusting on bream gear which is always frustrating but also fun. They really love to steal those expensive Ecogear blades . Hoping to have a shot at them when the tuna run ends. Have you been well enough to fish? Cheers Red
  11. Looks tough. Where are they made? Cheers Red
  12. Outstanding win ! Especially considering that he copped a reasonably harsh drive through penalty. Like so many Aussies, i rode every bump and helped him steer around every corner.....lol All we need now is for Stoner to recover from his mystery illness and take the fight up to the Yamahas. Cheers Red
  13. Awesome report guys Cheers Red

    Origin 1

We were lucky to score the points we did, thanks to a forward pass and two lucky deflections off kicks that landed perfectly for us. A very disappointing display indeed. Cheers Red
  15. I believe its a Flutefish too. Caught a couple of large ones off Kurnell lighthouse a few years back whilst fishing floaters aimed a reds. Cheers Red
  16. Not bad. What ever happened to the mighty Yellowfin and Marlin? Cheers Red
  17. Congrats Greg. Love those conditions. Best pic by far is the one of you on the floor.... Steve, I'd love to see a pic of the shark damaged blue as well. Please post pics when you find the time. Cheers Red

    Happy Hour

Cheers guys. Good to see a few Tandaco fans on the forum . Don't normally get excited about flatties however these ones were quality and they just kept on coming. No photos were taken, as my "no cameras onboard" policy still stands. They are worse than bananas Was planning to take pics at home however was beaten by time. Cheers Red

    Happy Hour

G'day Raiders, Had plans to take the family down to Kiama for lunch yesterday to meet up with a couple of raiders and their families, so the session had to be brief. Got to the chosen spot in Middle Harbour and the first bait went in at 6am. Nothing happened till 6:30 when we were greeted by a solid 75cm flathead. We went on to catch another 3 flatties of 73cm, 79cm and 85cm in a matter of minutes. It was crazy! The two largest were released as they looked to be carrying a hefty load of eggs Things went quiet for a few minutes and then bang, something with more power was peeling line. After a brief tussle, a 10kg (106cm) jew meets the gaff. Pulled the pin at 7:30am and was back home by 8:30 Cleaned the fish, rinsed the boat and drove the family to Kiama with a smile. If only every day was like this. Had some jew for dinner this evening, shallow fried with Tandaco seasoning......yumm. The kids ate like athletes. Cheers Red
  23. Geez Bob. We share the same disease It's called Raidertackleratsyndrome. That's a fine collection Cheers Red
