  1. Nice haul of fish there Pete , yep those blades with the assist hooks are dynamite on the bream, whiting and flatties, and you can cover plenty of ground quickly to find where the fish are. Cheers Blood Knot
  2. Personally I would exchange it for a rod with a fixed seat. Chances are if you are worried about it now, you will worry every time you use it. There could be some remedies for it, but I dont know if I would go down that pathway. Cheers Blood Knot
  3. Happy Birthday mate - hope you had fun at the flea & itches. Cheers Blood Knot

  9. For spinning reels - Lock up drags (even on the so called sealed reels) & give a light rinse 4 or 5 seconds under a slow running tap ( keep spool face upwards so you are not filling up the cavity under it with water). Concentrate most of the stream at the line on the spool. After rinsing wind reel vigorously to shed water (centrifuge style). Dry with a towel, apply a drop of light oil to bail roller area and knob spindle on handle then release drag. Optional wipe over with cloth sprayed with lanotec or inox type product. Works for me Cheers Blood Knot
  10. Interesting question Muzza - On occasions I have wondered what path our sport will go down over the next 10 - 20 years. Sure the members here will have an opinion. Cheers Blood Knot

  18. Interesting question and my two bobs worth, if you experienced no unusual vibration ( due to damaged / deformed prop blades) and you can see no obvious problems, I would not be two worried. Could be a bit dependent on the revs you were doing at the time, but its unlikely to have done much damage (similar to stalling a car) Cheers Blood Knot
  19. Just so this thread does not get away from us, please think about PM'ing info to truK on tackle shops. Cheers Blood Knot

  22. Think the HO has an extra cylinder and more torque. As long as your boat is rated for a 90 you will be OK and should look fwd to getting on the plane pretty quick particularly in a ally hornet
