Benzeenees
Quintrex 490 topender with 60hp yamaha 4s. Max. speed 49kph or 26.5kt according to the GPS. I usually cruise at about 40kph or 22kt in flat conditions. With chop the speed depends on which way I'm heading into it and how wet I'm prepared to get, but usually I can go at 30 - 35kph or 16 - 19kt. It doesn't like going between 16kph and 25kph - tends to get on the plane and accelerate up to 25kph unless I adjust the trim.

VA911
'82 stessl 4.6 with new 60 etec. Flat out 63k/h or 35 knots I dont mind gettin about a bit quick and havin a bit of fun in the old tub. Great fun in choppy water hence the name "Off Chops" or is that due to....... That speed is with 60lt of fuel and 70lt live tank full. not bad at all i reckon. Doesnt like planing at less than 25k/h. fuel economy... well i run around flat out when i can then downrigg for about 6hrs and use only 15lt of fuel a day. The old Suzi 65 was a little slower, had no torque and chewed 30lt for the same trip. Love it!

Mik
Quinne Offshore 630 Ocean Sport - 175 E-tec WOT with 3 aboard but not much else - 38 knots - (flat to slight chop coming at 45 degree starboard) Cruise - whats that? (ok, about 22-24 knots @ about 3800 to 4000 rpm I think, with the missus & her pregnant sister aboard) Planes at about 14 - 16 knots I think, but haven't really checked Fuel economy - dunno, I haven't had to fill her yet (Not all of us can drop our boats in every weekend!) Freedom to go where I want.........priceless!

volitans
Got a Stacer 4.5 Nomad with 40hp Merc. According to my GPS exactly 40kph flat out. Fuel econ ~ 50km to a 25ltr tank at that speed. Gaz P.S. Wondering - how much drag the bimini puts on the boat and effect on fuel economy????
shefford
I'd assume they would put alot of pressure on the actual hull @ speed with the wind under it. Causing alot of drag and added pressure on the hull. Does your bimini fold down?
volitans
Yes it does Iri, two ways. Firstly for stowage when ashore and finished. It even has it's own zip-up cover. Secondly, as I found out last week, when you try to reverse under the carport and you've forgotten to lower it. Arrrrrrrrhhhhhh. Fortunately I just bent the one rib and it won't cost much to replace. I'm so dumb sometimes. Gaz
stricko4
Stacer 4.6m runabout with 50hp Etec yesterday showed 33kt on the speedo at 5500rpm WOT. That was with 3 adults & fishing gear 1/2 tank of fuel. I'm looking forward to seeing if the new GPS says anything near that though.
