dogbox Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Went to the Hawkesbury river fished most of the usual spots for nil. There appeared to be a higher than normal trawler activity, maybe that had something to do with it. Fished the rail bridge score: 3 flathead, 6 thumping bream, few soapies and a nice metre Jew. The jew was released dogbox
seasponge Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Nice catch, and nice Jewie there. What did you catch the flatties and bream on?
dogbox Posted November 3, 2016 Author Posted November 3, 2016 The bait i used fresh USA squid, jews loved it. The flathead and bream where all caught on salted mackerel fillets. The fish all caught on the turn at bottom of the tide. dogbox
stevefish Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Up to 8 trawlers doing laps of the mouth of the Hawkes is normal, they do it 5 days a week and give it a rest on the weekend cos they care for the fishery. Or maybe because they're not allowed . oh good fishing too!
