  1. There is Lilli Pilli wharf down there, its a good spot but can get crowded as its a small wharf
  2. You can get kingfish throughout the entire hacking system, you have to fish light between 8-12lb and with small liveys to increase your chances.
  3. Port Hacking is a little river system there is Bate Bay at the entrance if thats what you meant. Also are you landbased or boat based. Fish wise you can get anything and everything, from basic bread and butter fish like whiting bream and flathead to pelagics like kingfish salmon and bonito. Occasionally a few warmer water fish like cobia and spotted mackerel turn up
  4. the best way to find good spots that aren't crowded is to have a look on google maps, usually there are spots that not many people know which are great fishing as well. That's how I started off looking for spots.
  5. Great cobe mate, they do turn up every year with the warm currents but thats a cracker for sydney
  6. King will bend a jewie backwards, personally would preffer a king as IMO better eating and better fight, i also value my sleeping patterns

  11. Hey raiders i had a 4 hour break from uni today between 10 and 2 so decided to flick some metals in the harbour and see what was around. I was using my stradic 1000 and a 1-3kg flick stick with 6lb braid and 6lb leader with a little 7g metal. First 15 mins not a touch then finally got abit more distance than usual as the wind died down i came up tight to a nice bonito which gave abit of a fight then came in. It went 44cm. Shortly after spun up a smaller bonito around 35cm and a 45cm frigate which gave me a good run on light gear. Went dead for half an hour then spun up a smaller bonito again around 35cm before calling it quits. Interesting to note that there were no bustups at all u was just casting blind so the fish must be holding abit deeper. Not a bad session and now back at uni waiting for class.
  12. I wish I could hahaha im stuck at uni ! Id just send it out unweighted, have a nice rod length of fluorocarbon for trace and lob it out, doesn't have to be too far, even unweighted cubes of pilly will go alright, also try and burley up as this will get the kings interested.
  13. Id hit clifton gardens won't be busy abd there are always kings around
  14. Green school prawns at any fish monger are gun bait for bream trevally leatherjacket and kings and sometimes you can find them for 10 bucks a kilo cant go wrong with them and they are way fresher than servo prawns. Other than that, catching your own bait trumps all
