  1. I was in the middle of eating a rice custard when i saw the picture of that mutant croc & half my rice custard almost ended up all over key pad You have got to be kidding me thats unbelievable well done. Flathead purists D.O.A ( DAMN THOSE PESKY JEWS )
  2. Who said you need a boat :thumbup:top catch very impresive
  3. No that was not me at old mans sunday morning benoz i was there saturday morning & it was dead which did not surprise me considering the catch rate after the full moon generally is not good. Going through my diary over the last 9 years the pattern is very clear bad catches on or 4 days after a full moon have been the norm for the pelagic species. But species such as bream & blackfish are fireing now so i think i will concentrate on those species untill the kings start showing again.
  4. My local spots have have been dead as well bluefishpoint manly & old mans hat manly. The Bonito have dissapeared and the kings ( were the bloody hell are ya )
  5. Thats some serious looking fish there buddy well done.
  6. Cracker fish well done good to see someone getting into the kings.
  7. Thats a fat salmon bad luck on dropping your king but you will no doubt get one soon keep fishing hard.
  8. If there really fussy try going down to a 7 gram sea rock in blue or sometimes they are fixed on pink only and remove the standard silver treble and replace with a black one this reduces the profile of the lure making it appear smaller,And drop leader down to 10 LB flurocarbon as they are very visual. One very big mistake alot of people make is using a snap swivel in front of there lure which means the differance between fish or no fish especially with frigates and bonito etc.
  9. Frigates can also have spots its not just limited to the macks.
  10. thats an ooglie from the depths never seen anything like it i have caught spangled emperor,Moses perch, etc from sydney harbour but nothing like yours its amazing what can turn up from time to time.
  11. I agree with black bandit on sea hare and if the dye came from middle centre thats them ,they are the ugliest creature you ever saw and when they squirt there dye its very thick and rich in colour.
  12. Mate thats a big silver on such light gear he would of kept you busy for close to 10 minutes they are top underated sportsfish. You done well to land him amongst the moorings well done.
  13. Yes LEAD does come out of the ground and so does ASBESTOS both can potentially make you very sick with cancer leading to death. Enviro sinkers will rust if you put your used sinkers back in with your new ones ,this can be solved by having a seperate container for the used sinkers.
  14. I tend to notice more frigates around sydney harbour around april, may, june
  15. Mate thats a beauty on light gear i bet your heart was racing 100 miles an hour top effort
  16. Definately a big frigate mackeral it,s easy to seperate the two by looking at the dorsal fins. The Frigate has a big gap between the front & rear dorsal fin & the mack has a front dorsal that almost connects with the rear dorsal fin. great fun on light gear fook well done.
  17. Bad luck on the fish never the less you got some good hookups and its good to see some better size fish starting to show up.I might go old mans tommorrow morning and spin some gars see how i go.

  21. ADDICTIVE YES i spent 7 years straight chasing nothing else but the blackies we are very lucky to have a fishery were we can get fish on just about every outing and cook up a feed of crumbed blackfish or blackfish fillets dusted in flour dipped in egg then tossed in to coarse parmasan cheese. Well done succeeding on your first outing.
