  1. Nice bag of drummer, look well conditioned. They fight really well at that size Chris.
  2. Nice to be out and about fishing, the fish are on which is nice but those toads are unbelievable. i put wire trace on my line on sunday to cope with the large plague, don,t remember seeing so many toads along the coast that i can remember. We found they dropped off as you headed deep past the 140-170 ft zone. Great work on those nice tailor bet there heading for the smoker Chris.
  3. Hi Raiders Had a fish down south from bates bay today with Meng (aka gonfishing). With an extra hours sleep this morning we were both full of energy and couldn't get out there quick enough. We headed off to our usual flathead drifts and let the fun begin. It started well putting some keepers in the esky but then the toad fish came in massive numbers, they were just as bad as the leatherjackets. We headed out deeper and did more drifts and found the toad fish disappeared so we stuck to a good drift and got a good bag of flatheads and leatherjackets which you can't seem to get away from these days (not that I mind). Upon heading home back along the national park we picked up two bonitos, losing a few and also stopped to gather some squid. Was nice to be able to get some decent fish for the families for easter. Chris
  4. Top looking feed Yummo Prized catch mate well done Chris.
  5. Hi A.Dawg Very unlucky to drop jew on squid as they normaly just scoff the lot, were you using snell rig??? The jew will be very hard to catch in the georges in a few weeks, soon as water temp drops, but should be some really big fish landed if the weather doesn,t turn again for the worst. Chris.

  10. Hi Raiders Enjoyed a nice fish last night. Hit the water at 7:30pm and headed to the deep water at the front of Yowie Bay. My mate was first in with his bait and was straight into the small Snapper which was keeping him very entertained while I was getting a jew rig ready baited with fresh squid as I knew we were in with a great chance tonight. Cast rod out and set the drag and it wasn't long until I was onto a fish. Feeling the head shakes I knew it was a jewie. This turned my mate into getting his big bait out . So we both put out fresh squid and waited. Wasn't long and my rod went off again, this time being a nice Snapper measuring high 30's. We gave this spot another half an hour but all went quiet so we headed off up towards the channel of North West Arm. Here my mate managed to catch a nice fat bream measuring high 30's and I caught myself a nice blue swimmer crab on a whole mullet fillet which was out there in hope of another jew and also managed another bream before calling it a night at 11:30pm. Chris
  11. Nice feed you caught there ENJOY Well Done Chris.
  12. Yowie fishing sure is tough of late , but you managed a fresh feed top stuff. . Those kings seem to be around lilli pilli alot of late which is nice to see, would be nice if they were all of nice sizes. Chris.
  13. Fuel mix 50L unleaded to 1L of outboard oil. Try not to mix your oil brands when topping up ( Mineral and synthetic oils ) Keep the mix ratio as close as possible to 50:1 for optimum running performance. NOTE Your plugs will be very, very oily running a 25:1 ratio and your rings will gum up using too much oil over time. Plus carbon build up in your motor causing more problems. Chris.
  14. Great photo,s Keith loves his adventures through them areas SNAKES or no SNAKES. That is one bloody huge bass you caught , Look forward to more photo,s Chris.

  21. ripper bass Were you fishing off the weir or further up river chris
  22. Been using (wax as you dry) eagle one . Spray on all engine areas liberally and waxes as you wipe off , contains anticorrosion additives protects from rust, salt leaving great shine. Have been using for many years and my engine looks brand new with no corrosion issues Hope this is helpful Chris.
  23. Great to see turtles around. Have seen plenty at lilli pilli also Chris.
  24. Hey dpinta, my guess would go to either whaler , bull shark ???. Murky warm water brings more sharks in , adding to that good sized tailor schools on the surface is why we saw them i,d say. Chris.
