  1. Great Report. Great Kings and Bonnies! The conditions look fantastic too! Sorry to hear about the gear theft. Just don't understand why people do that stuff...
  2. Tide shouldn't matter a whole lot. Preferably Run in but its not crucial. The number 1 spot is definitely the Basin but Clareville should hold a few aswell. 3/0 circle. Can't go wrong
  3. Super Bream! They know how to pull at that size. I'll have to head up your way sometime and tap into those leases
  4. You'll have a great time mate! Just got back from Weipa (Cape York) a month ago. AMAZING!
  5. Clareville Moorings or the Basin Moorings with live yakkas under a float. Trim the tail as dory are quite lazy. Towlers Bay and Scotland Island have a few too! Generally, fish where there are lots of yakkas and structure. This is your best shot! Cheers, Tom
  6. A few times mate. Batemans should be just as good too!
  7. Kiama and Jervis Bay should be firing for both those species. Tuna as well!
  8. buy a cylindrical trap from your local tackle store. They're like 10 bucks but they work!
  9. Great session. Mullet go hard when properly hooked so i can only imagine how he would have fought! Top flatties for the BBQ!
  10. Can't go wrong with a gold bomber during the run off!
  11. Super Cobe! Good size aswell!
  12. Lovely sambo and lovely conditions. All you needed were a few more fish Snapper should be biting soon
  13. Great spot kiama. Big Snapper, Kings and Tuna should be lurking around at the moment. Sounds like a good little trip!
  14. Lures: Gold Bomber, Floating X-Rap, Yo Zuri Crystal Minnow Braid: 20lb Leader: 40lb mono leader One thing to make sure is the that you get the twitch right. You have to work the lure hard (twitch twitch) then pause for 2 seconds. They often hit on the pause and it is probably the most important thing when barra luring!
  15. Lovely fish. They really go hard don't they! Definitely up there with one of the best fighting fish on the planet!
  16. Nope, you can eat them. They're great if you wrap them in foil and do them on the BBQ. Not bad fried either!

  19. Lovely Fish Making me VERY excited about my pre ordered hobie Pro Angler 12
  20. Nice yak and lovely conditions! Ordred the new Hobie Pro Angler Cant wait!!
  21. My guess is that the run in tide will occur earlier at the beach and the run out tide will occur earlier in the lake. Can't say for sure but its just what comes to mind
  22. Loads of flatties up at the hawkesbury atm. Mainly around Dangar Island and wobby beach. School jew and bream in the same areas aswell as the odd tailor and whiting. Middle harbour is worth as shot too. Head into Sugarloaf Bay and burley up a few bream, trevally and flathead. Some good jewfish in there too. Sugarloaf point and Pickering point are worth a shot with live baits on the turn of the tide for Jew, Salmon, Flathead and the odd late season kingie! Good luck!
  23. Thanks for the replies guys. Ordered the saros 4000 with 20lb power pro
  24. Lovely haul there Occies are definitely worth a shot for kings. Rig them in a similar way to squid. One hook through the top of the head and one trailing around in the tentacles of the occie!
  25. Get some long nose pliers or just cut the line as close to the hook as possible
