  1. Great Haul for Cowan Waratahs had a few small jew lately Better have a crack soon!
  2. Bigger Tailor and Salmon Heads make great bait for sharks! Especially for Bronzies and Bulls off the beach. You can also use them as burley and dump them in the shorebreak. The head wiill be broken down slowly and create a lovely little burley trail
  3. Great session and lovely bream Where abouts is Jeffrey St Wharf?
  4. Nice work mate! Well done in such a heavily fished area. I went snorkeling them a month ago and sawm a ridiculous amount of monster whiting, blackfish and even small school jew!
  5. What sort of popper? Bream/Whiting popper? Salmon/Tailor/Kingie popper? If you see a school of fish on the surface and you have a suitable popper then definitely have a cast. If there's not surface action then don't worry about it..
  6. Been up that way a few times! Send you a pm when i get home this afternoon!
  7. Hi mate. The kings are probably slowing down now but there might be a few still hanging around... There's still plenty of good fishing. You have the ever faithful spit bridge fro Jews, Bream, Flathead and Salmon on prawns, livies and squid. Moorings of Balmoral for salmon, tailor and flathead on a mix of lures and bait. Entrance to Neutral bay for Bream, Tailor and the odd sambo on bait. Also the waters off clifton gardens. Just north of clifton is some really deep water. Try live baiting for jews, sambo's, big bream, flathead, snapper and John Dory. Just don't go in too close as there's a naval base near here... Good luck!
  8. Definitely Give Palm Beach a go! Just inside barrenjoey headland is worth a shot too. There's a sheltered sort of area with weed flats and a bit of reef. Its the sort of spot you either get 10 or 0 at.. Don't forget west head for yakkas and slimies. They'll appeal a whole lot more than a pilchard to a big jewie! Good luck!

Lovely fish How long was he?
  10. Seems you figured it out. Lovely fish!
  11. Nicee Breambo! You get the odd stonker down there from time to time!
  12. Both are fantastic reels! The V-system can handle just about anything you throw at it. The biggest size is ideal for GT Popping, Heavy Trolling for Tuna, Mackerel, Kings etc and even Marlin. The salina is also perfect for those things. In the end it comes down to which you prefer i guess
  13. Great work mate! I still swear by fresh/live tailor after i caught my first jewie Beautiful fish and a great report
  14. You fellas definitely have those Jewies covered at the moment!
  15. Yeah, i gotta get out for a squid soon! The jews seem to lay low over winter and you need the freshest bait to tempt them! The fish you do tempt are often quality fish though!
  16. Bream, Blackfish and BIGGER jewfish! You'll get the odd kingie off the rocks through winter but they will be hard to tempt! Theyr'e often hoodies though! Its also a good chance to get into squiding if you haven't already! The winter squid are often bigger and harder to entice so its a challenge off the stones!
  17. Give it a go! Its pretty good stuff. I have the 4lb and its great! Casts really nicely
  18. I have the 7 foot 3-6kg and 2-4kg of the Jewell. Beautiful rod. Mainly get Bream, Flatties and what not on it. I think the 9' job is worth a look for sure. They're very similar to the Raider series and great value for money!
  19. Very good haul there! The bonnies must have been thick!
  20. Great haul there! Well done to get them on plastics too!
