G`day Fellas , Been pretty busy the last few days , and I`m hoping that the Grand final in the AFL & The NRL will not turn into WALKOVERS . A year is a long time for all fans to wait for their team to emerge victorious , but WALKOVERS are IMO a dead rubber . SO lets hope the swannies can pull the eagles Back and make it interesting , And The broncos only win by 9. Interestingly , the Hatred of all things NSW by the VICS , is painfully obvious when listening to The game callers in the AFL. They Hate NSW so Badly , they would rather Barrack for the WEST COAST Eagles , and We Hate Melbourne so Much , we all to a man are Barracking for Queensland in the RL. Funny EH ??. Mick

G`day Fellas , After scanning 140 photos out of 300 , and adjusting , contrast , colour , gamma , etc, etc, can you freakin believe it , somehow the whole lot disapeared off my PC while taking a Leak . So I have begun to do them all again . Here is another appetiser for the true Believers ,and for those with a Tail fetish . Heya Grant , Yeaaahhh ,I do actually , but flattie season is upon us soon , and so flattie fillets will adorn the Barbie for the next few months hopefully . Actually , I went into The fish shop In Taree today and bought 4 large Leather Jackets for Tea , They are the Top of My Taste tree , I love em. But the minute you take a stroll along the sand and see that tell tale Gutter with a big hole nearby , well , you know what I mean don`t you mate !. Mick

G`day Fellas , No offence taken James , but some might argue , that perhaps like yourself , It`s a waste of time to pay $2,000 bucks for a Digi camera you only get to use once or twice a year , and that perhaps it`s better to just chuck a cheapie in the tackle box which after using all the exposures for jewie pics you can just throw it away and buy another . Land based fishos carry enough gear in their backpacks , let alone having to worry about expensive cameras getting clogged up with sand , bait , belted by loose sinkers etc, etc . The Pics might be a bit grainy , but its the catch that counts , don`t you agree ??. Mick

G`day Fellas , The two fish in this photo are 50 and 30 pounds . I think he`s holding the 50 Lb one , and the 30`s on the ground , but having sat my coffe on my notes , they bled to death. So untill I can rewrite those notes , just the pics will have to do I`m afraid. Mick

G`day Fellas , Having spent the day sifting through Hundreds of photos approximately ( 300 ) in this batch and with more to come , I have scanned about 50 odd , which are reasonable , but the bulk of the photos were taken at night with a disposable camera abeit with a flash , the quality is not the greatest in the world , but a few that I will post over the comming days , will prove to you all , that some Fellas are simply Gifted Fishermen. G`day Fellas , As For our resident critic to be calling Saints " Chokers " perhaps the Pot should observe the " Kettles " record for the last three games of PARRAMATTA for 06. Of the three games played , they won """ 000000000 """""" And Scored 14 points to 57 against. Now I would never call a team chokers , I`m much bigger than that , but I do think Parra chose the perfect colour for their Jerseys . G`day Fellas , No pics for this one , but guaranteed to be spot on. A jew taking up the whole of this fellas station wagon was observed at the Local garage where the Fella was Filling up. I think Hookies Cousin was fishing the same night , and may have seen him with it. I know the bloke , but we are not on the best of terms due to an incident I shall reveal at a Later time. Mick

G`day Fellas , I use a 12ft Medium Wilson , $130.oo I think I paid for it , and nothing has beaten it yet. Ugly sticks , loomis , you can spend a fortune on gear for Beachfishing , but I still shudder when I recall , as a " New arrival " the afternoon I rocked up to the Local Beach and rigged up with my brand new outfit , and squeezed in betweeen some of the locals. Wilson 12 ft Rod $130.00 , Daiwa Jupiter 6000 Egg beater $150.00 , Snowbee waders $110.00 , plus another $150 odd dollars on Hooks , sinkers , line and Knives. JEEZUZ , I SURE DID LOOK PRETTY . Anyway , Less than an hour Later , two locals had reasonable schoolies flapping on the beach and then left , whilst and Old fella almost 70 years old , was hooked up to a really good fish . I gaffed a 60 pounder for him , dragged it up to his gear back up the beach , and after dehooking the fish , slipping it into a wet sugar bag , he rolled a smoke and sat down on his Bucket for a chat , where we discussed as fisho`s do , " Our Gear ". His Gear !, ROD "10.6 " no name bruiser , purchased from the warehouse at Taree $19.00 , Reel $8.50 , which was perfectly matched to a divine looking round plastic hooks & sinkers box combo for the staggering price of 2.99 . Bait , was a packet of pillies , which were set on a set of ganged 6/o`s given to him by another fisherman who felt sorry for him. Moral of this story , It aint the size of the dog in the fight ........ But Having said that , Saga`s offer is a steal mate. Mick

G`day Fellas , A home care Nurse , who for some time , had been attending an aged patient we shall call Alf , having fullfilled his needs for , for two weeks straight , you know the sort of thing , washing wounds , replacing bandages , arranging medicines , etc , etc , finaly succumbed to her curiosity as to why he had so many pecan nuts loose in a bowl on the dressing table. Alf assured her that he didn`t actually eat the nuts and as such , she was more than welcome to take them home with her , which she did , having a pasion for the Nuts , as did her hubby and three small children . Within a week , the bowl was full to the brim again , and once more Alf placed all the nuts in a clear plastic bag and encouraged her to take the Nuts home with her , which she did once again . Some three weeks later , the Nurse `s curiosity finally got the best of her and so asked her Patient , “ Hey Alf , why is it you keep buying so many nuts , when you have no “ teeth “ , and can`t eat them ?. “ Oh well “ , Replied Alf matter of factly , “ I only Buy em for the Chocolate ! . G`day Fellas , I was sitting on the Pylons At Capt Cook bridge in heavy misty fog some years ago . Feel dangling over the edge , and had just flopped a leather Jacket rig down the side of the Pylon and wham , a large 5 metre 1/2 cab job rammed the Pylon just metres from where I was sitting. Now When I say Rammed , It hit at about 50/60 degrees , then skidded along the platform for about 3 metres , and then swerved back out into the channel . The thing was , I never Heard it comming , because there was a council Street Sweeper just above me on the roadway , and drowned out the noise of the boat. NO beg your Pardons from the driver ( which I couldn`t see any way ) he just kept going towards the Heads , and that was the end of it. And although I was unhurt , it took me hours to settle down after that incident , not so much for scaring the living Bejeezuz outta me , but the fact I couldn`t Chase the SOB and Rip His Friggin head off. Now if you think that was the end of it , well not so , you see , the constant rolling of the waves , had cut through my rope which was wrapped around the staunchion , and so , when the fog finaly cleared , my Tinny and Motor was nowhere to be seen. I was just too lazy to get the special light chain I had made up for the pylons from the back shed. So , Hailing down a passing cruiser from the Motor Boat Club , they took me aboard and went lickety split towards the heads where " Little Toot " all alone , was doing wheelies and doughnuts while bobbing up and down in the chop near the heads. That was a scary ride back to the ramp that day , and as you would expect when all is going wrong , the bloody wind decided to come up as well didn`t it . Funny now , but full on drama at the time.
