This Extra team in the comp will see , just about every side seriously crippled with injurys by the midle of the second round , which will most likely see , most of the super stars "burnt out" well before the semis. So dont be surprised if you see a team like Souths slip up into contention late in the season eiher. I truly believe , the team who can bludge it`s way through the Ist round and stay injury free , will be the one that will come home the strongest. G`day Fellas , Long Strips are Best of course , but it doesn`t really matter , you can always tease it all out , and then roll it into strips approx 20cms long . We used strips of old Hessian Bags drenched in Saltwater , no Paper , reasonably tightly rolled into copper tubing cylinders , and then Plastic downpipe when I came along , and just stored it under the coolest Part of the verandah where there was an Air flow . Freezing works a treat as well , but you really should have a spare " beer fridge " to store it in , Kelp Flavoured Scotch Fillet might be a novelty , but It tastes like YUK ! Mick

With he Voip System when you call them , They answer you on their home Phone , they do not have to be online , or even have The PC Switched on . A lot of people don`t realise that . Two days later when We went up to Fish the Maheno Wreck , the Rover Has disappeared with only the roof Visible . That little mishap gave me a great respect for Running Sand . Mick

G`day Fellas , Adding to the woes of Blistering NE winds that have been blowing incessantly for 2 weeks , thereby shutting down all fishing. Now , for the Ist time in many years , we have had some enormous sharks , closing the beach to swimmers over the last week or so. One witness observing the sharks from his 2nd story Unit with Navy binoculars , estimated one shark to be close to 16ft long , now that is big!!!!! . A local chap I spoke to, who was fishing the Manning River one night last week in his boat , saw a massive swirl just 5 meters away close to shore , then watched in disbelief , as the ripple from the swirl , bobbed his 10 foot Tinnie rather violently for a few pulse racing seconds . Fishing has been a disaster here over the School Holidays , with most of the Local legends using the down time to visit family elsewhere . We have tried the lagoons on three occasions , for nil results , so all we can do is wait and see!. Mick

G`day Fellas , If you are still using a CRT Monitor like I am , mine is a 19 inch LG which has Excellent Graphics , then whatever you do , should you need to Shut down a non responding program with the CNT+ALT+ Delete function , then pay attention , and make sure you do not Hit the CONT+ALT+ The UP arrow Key Just Below the delete Button Key like I did , coz everything does a 180 flip , and ends up upside down . Great Prank to play on the Kids , but serious stress problems late at night when it happens for the very Ist Time. Mick

G`day Fellas , Don`t knock those cooked prawns as bait.... MR-RB , because sometimes they work a treat. For Instance ....November here last year , came across a pair of Poms fishing well up the beach here at Old Bar. Wandered over to say g`day , and to my surprise , they had caught 3 stonker bream on the cooked prawns . I have done OK myself on occasions as well , but never caught anything to test the scales . Saying this, while putting down your phone and walking off instead of hanging-up immediately) would make each telemarketing call so much more time-consuming that boiler room sales would grind to a halt. Then when you eventually hear the Telstra's "beep-beep-beep" tone, you know it's time to go back and hang up your handset, which has efficiently completed its task. These three little words will help eliminate telephone soliciting (2) Do you ever get those annoying phone calls with no one On the other end? This is a telemarketing technique where a machine makes phone calls and records the time of day when a person answers the phone. This technique is used to determine the best time of day for a "real" sales person to call back and get someone at home. What you can do after answering, if you notice there is no one there, is to immediately start hitting your # button on the phone, 6 or 7 times, as quickly as possible. This confuses the machine that dialled the call and it kicks your number out of their system. Gosh, what a shame not to have your name in their system any longer!!! 3: When you get those "pre-approved" letters in the mail for everything from credit cards to 2nd mortgages and similar type junk, do not throw away the return envelope. Most of these come with postage-prepaid return envelopes, right? It costs them more than the regular 50 cents postage "IF" and when they receive them back. It costs them nothing if you throw them away! In that case, why not get rid of some of your other junk mail and put it in these cool little, postage- prepaid return envelopes. Send an ad for your local chimney cleaner to American Express. Send a pizza coupon to Westpac. If you didn't get anything else that day, then just send them their blank application back! If you want to remain anonymous, just make sure your name isn't on anything you send them. You can even send the envelope back empty if you want to just to keep them guessing! It still costs them $1.00 The banks and credit card companies are currently getting a lot of their own junk back in the mail, but folks, we need to OVERWHELM them Let's let them know what it's like to get lots of junk mail, and best of all they're paying for it... Twice! Let's help keep Australia Post busy since they are saying that e-mail is cutting into their business profits, and that's why they need to increase postage costs again. You get the idea!
