If you drive through Drummoyne and Balmain, you see this everywhere. At the same time, they have no where to go. Me personally wouldn't buy a place or stay in one if I had to park the boat on the street.

Hey mate, For $1k you can get the Garmin 70DV. What I liked about it, touch screen, and ONE transducer. Some other brands you need different components for it to work. Lowrance for structure needs another transducer etc. Good thing about the Humminbird, it is all built into the ONE transducer too. I think Humminbird released a fairly new one 7" around $1300 I think with it all. Hey Rob, haven't really heard of them until I came across this. Looks like they are built in Qld but have only been in business for 1 year so far... according to their site. So me personally would give it more time if you want one of those boats, otherwise stick to the known brands for now.

I rocked up to the boat ramp at drummoyne to see how it was like at 2am and it was chaos. I remember seeing this massive bayliner and the guys didnt know how to get it on the trailer. It was a good night to see what really happens. Afterr seeing that, I would definitely stay overnight in a bay. I wonder how the silverwater or meadowbank boat ramp is on NYE. Might be ok. Not as busy as the closer ones.

What is your price range? What size are you thinking?

First thing, 80HP on a 510 Spirit? I personally would go a bit higher. 80HP Zuk won't be pushing the 510 as good as a 90 Etec. If you wan't 4 stroke I would be aiming for 115HP if the weight suits. The 4stroke will hold a better resale value. That is true.
