  1. Great report phil. Some cracking fish and photos to match. There's really no words to discribe a trip like that, but it's unreal living in that moment. Weipa, is a must do for me sometime. Have seen many reports from there and it always reminds me of my trip to Darwin. Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  2. Well done john! That fish looks like a hybrid between bass and mullet. It's interesting to see photos of fish from another country! Keep em coming! Cheers scratchie!!!

  6. Hey dean, Mate I either use a keeper net tied to the side of the yak or a good size bucket with a lid. Cheers scratchie!!!
  7. Went to cold tea creek. Very low level water and heaps of weed. Ran into a local who said its best to fish breakwall with kids. Threw sp's from bridge to boat ramp without a bite! Still beats sitting down doing nothing. Very busy waterway that channel. Thanks anyway Katoe! Cheers scratchie!!!

  9. G'day raiders, I've had to travel to valentine for league this morning. With 4hrs between games, I've thrown some rods in the car but have no idea where to throw a few sp's to entertain myself whilst I wait. Any help appreciated! Cheers scratchie!!!

  14. Good stuff as always yowie! I'm sure the fish down that way will be wondering when your next holiday is? I love the fact you still use a handline too. No many people do these days! Cheers scratchie!!!
  15. That's a big ray! But the one up here is over 300kg. If it was that size, what an effort! Cheers scratchie!!!
  16. Great report Steve! Even better that a plan come together and sharing it with another raider. Your recent post in the chat section wanting to chase gummys and you went out and were successful. That's pretty impressive! Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  17. Moderation of a post will be made on content and responses. We do not encourage bad behaviour nor will we allow it to be posted. We've all had people coming to close to our vessel, which poses the question. "How close, is too close?" IMO, it depends in the area (reef, offshore, estuary etc). You will also get most fishos showing etiquette but it doesn't happen all the time. Leading by example is the key! Cheers scratchie!!!
  18. Your right pete! Dom had the quickest conversion from live bait to fish I've ever seen. Within 30 seconds of hitting the water he was on!
  19. Great report Harold. I'm not hearing of many hairtail lately, so they might be waiting for our social. I agree, it's a great time to spend with the family. Cheers scratchie!!!
  20. Nice jewy there tulz! Sounds like an eventful trip for the most part. Gotta love a houseboat. All the luxury and being able to fish at the same time! Cheers scratchie!!!
  21. Paul is in my shoal bay fishing club. He broke the record which stood for 9years which was held by Haro "the fish god". Paul is a gun angler and won this years Tbft. Looks like he'll be hard to beat yet again at this weekends club comp weigh in! Cheers scratchie!!!
  22. Cheers deano. I'm very lucky to have great access to many nice platforms. Just never know what your gunna get and many different species to target. Great fun!
  23. How good was the olds day of ball shooters, throw downs, parachutes and bonfires! Then the fun police brought in public liability! Now we have to assemble like a herd of sheep on the foreshore with 1.4 million other people just to see some crackers! Cheers scratchie!!!
  24. Just wait until the hairtail social....I've had a boat do circles around mine and then just tie off on my boat. Not mentioning any names swordy! Cheers scratchie!!!
  25. You guys in Sydney seem to get this all the time. IMO, if I can read the writing on your tshirt then your to close. You will get these situations from time to time but not matter what in life, you can't teach common sense! Cheers scratchie!!!
