All this talk of lures must have hypnotised me... I just bought 3 more for no reason at all.

Got up at midnight to start work. Drove in the worst conditions you've ever seen. Arrived to no power and had to make the scary drive home. No cement needed here but really enjoyed going back to bed! Cheers scratchie!!!

G'day raiders, We seem to come across this topic regularly in the chat section and there are many views and different sites we all use to obtain information. Like me, many raiders seem to use 2 or 3 and average the prediction out. Over the past two days up here, Sydney and coastal areas, we have all been coping a flogging and for me, I've been keeping my eyes firming fixed to the radar and wind patterns. I agree that this has not been a normal weather pattern nor is it easy to predict the elements as they change dramatically but on a normal everyday week, the predicted weather can be so far wrong, that after all the preparations of getting ready to go fishing you don't even leave the driveway. So with all that said and considering the technology available in this day and age, surely they really need to overhaul their data they provide to the public? Especially considering the amount of recreational boating and water activities that we all partake in. Here is a screen shot of willyweather wind .............. Look at the difference between wind and gusts. Really??? This is the type of crap info they provide on a constant basis and I feel all weather sites need a good overhaul. Cheers scratchie!!!

Finally......... Power and wifi. Now time to clean up this mess. At least the kids talked to each other over the last two days. (No wifi) but sadly my recording of "wicked tuna" failed. It's ok, 3:34pm repeat! Cheers scratchie!!!

I don't own any lures......... They own me! At least all mine are individual and I don't have two of the same. Well, at least not on the same side of the garage!

Absolute war zone up here! Neighbour lost their roof as I was heading to work at 2am. It sounded like a bomb heading my way! Went back inside and changed my undies and drove to work. It was like a game of frogger, dodging trees, poles branches and anything else flying around. "Urges caution" lmao! Cheers scratchie!!!

As a father of 4 children of various ages, for me it all comes down to time management! I work full time shift work, coach rugby league, cook, clean and attend all school functions. My kids are pretty talented in sport too which adds to a hectic week. But I always manage to get out there and spend time doing what I enjoy most. I live by the saying, "there's plenty of time to sleep when your dead" and "your dead a long time" Good luck with the new addition to your family Sam. And I hope you find that balance! You'd be better off launching at parsley bay and working around the moorings off there. Also there are a few drop offs on the north side off danger island. Can be a more productive area then you have outlined. Cheers scratchie!!!

Looking at photo, I'm pretty sure, the lady on the right is the same angler that landed a 184.5kg blue during the interclub 2 years ago on 10kg in 18mins and made it back to the weigh in with 15mins to spare. It was also an aust record for line class!

I always give it at least 1hr when I burley. If I'm live baiting I always wait an hour after a tide change! If drifting, no bites, then I keep drifting until I find them! Cheers scratchie!!!

Awesome report guys and good on you Steve for taking a fellow raider on board. It's always rewarding to take a newbie and for them to get many firsts! One thing when trolling, if your picking up bonnies or tailor ect, and get a double hook up, you don't really need to drive the boat. Put it in neutral and both have a go! G'day raiders, Tonight at our weekly fishing club meeting at the shoal bay hotel, the boys were saying that witches hats for crabbing are to be outlawed by the 1st of May. I haven't heard anything about it. Can anyone else confirm this???? Cheers scratchie!!!
