G’day raiders, Just a quick report from this morning. Was going to head out with Woodsy but a quick change of plans ment I was going solo. So I decided to dust off the yak and drift around the bay! Paddled out in great conditions, had an sp drifting behind me and casting a 1/8 3/0 jig with a 5 inch in front. It took a while to find them but once I did a got a few. All around the 50cm size! Great fun and a peaceful morning on the water! Cheers scratchie!!! P.s I didn’t find any buckets or dinosaurs lol 😂I need more practice!

Generally not. I know with the inter club Comp up here they donate the carcus to fisheries for research. Not only that, a blue marlin does not release well and normally fights to the death.

Very sad news! I never met the bloke but have heard his name many times over. The photos of his boats still remain in the Shores at Soldiers point. He will be missed by many a fisho up here!

Welcome to fishraider! You did well to get up here over the weekend and even better to get out for a fish with the weather we had. That spot can certainly be a hit or miss. Fishing from there I would definitely up your line class. Using only 8lb from the rocks usually ends in tears. I’d be using 15-20lb minimum. Look forward to your next report! Cheers scratchie!!!

G’day raiders, Just a quick report from this morning. Headed out with @Woodsy1 after he picked his boat up from some maintenance. Had a leisurely start at 9am. With the wind predicted to blow up at 11am, offshore wasn’t an option so we thought we’d hit the bay for a few flatty! Well that was the plan from me but the fish didn’t want to play ball on my line and I’m sure Woodsy has sprayed my lures with fish repellent over the last two trips. Today was no exception and he managed all the fish even after I take him to all my good spots! The nerve of this bloke! Haha!!! Anyway, he dropped one really good fish but managed to land this monster and another! I must say it was well netted 😝 The fish went 80cm and caught on a 3000fk stradic 1/8 3/0 jig and 5 inch zman pilchard shad. Well done Woodsy 👏👏👏👏 cheers scratchie!!!
