Well the DPI have been really good, I was not expecting to hear a word for a few weeks but they had info for us quicksmart. Those that know better than me are not surprised with the response time at all. The fish was last caught off Eden in April 08. It was not weighed but an estimated length of 95cm was given. Apparently that would place it around the 10Kg mark, so it has put on nearly 20Kgs in a little over a year. Interesting stuff.

hotbite, We went 5/5/5 on Ambition on Sunday, five on board and every one got a 30ish fin. There were two double hook ups that kept us on our toes. The Kingy two step is nothing compared to the Tuna Tango We kept three as it was enough food for every one and released two. Once we realised we were onto a hot bite we invited other club boats into our trail. Albatross11 was first on the scene and was into them straight away and yes other boats close by went zeros. One of the fish had been tagged previously and we are all keen to hear what the DPI records say.. I feel really privileged to have caught a fish with a tag in it and to be able to help the tagging program Well done Steve and the rest of the lads on Makaira, awesome fish! That is a great way to open the account for the Winter Point score

No great lose I reckon. The show was a series of ads paid and unpaid. If we as a community of like minded people think that a fishing show at 5am on the horsie channel was our great voice we are in serious trouble...

My last boat was a 5.4 bow rider. I can guarantee you the supposed flexibility and versatility go out the window as soon as the Mrs and her friends get over banging through slop and cruiser wake sitting in the pointy end of the boat, the stern of the boat is always a better ride. I set mine up really well for fishing but it always shit me that I was limited to me and two guys in the cockpit because the front third of the boat was "The ladies lounge" and hard to fish out of. Great for a snooze on a sunny day but dead space. We used to take it outside regularly but again it was a compromise, you need to know the boat, its capabilities and the weather forecast. A half decent wave over the bow and you can be in trouble very quickly. All boats are compromises as we all know, my advice to you is have a think about where you want to be in a years time with your boat and your family boating. Twenty three large is a lot of money to commit to a package that may not suit your needs down the track. Robbie.

It is there. I checked it out yesterday, there is nothing on it though. We trolled around it for about 20 minutes watching some divers on it and they kept coming up empty. We had a chat to the divers as they were leaving and they said it was barren. We then went and worked the wave rider and it was the same. Robbie.

That one has been doing the rounds a bit.. There have been a few responses posted around the net, I like this one though.. I used to be able to deduct my mortgage interest, but since the interest rates rose faster than my pay, the foreclosure ended that. My landlord still gets HIS deduction, though, thank goodness! You may want to check to see if your accountant is stealing from you because it's impossible for 14 of us to rack up $21,000 EACH in tax requirements during the last quarter. For someone who seems obsessed with their business, you are fairly oblivious to what's going on with your finances. Of the $288,000 you say you deposited, how much of it will you be getting back when you file you taxes and deduct every penny of it? That single mother pregnant with her fourth child waiting for a welfare check? Well, she used to work here, but was fired when her babysitter got sick and your reaction was that it wasn't your problem. She's been trying ever since to get a job but when people see she was fired, they assume it was due to nefarious reasons. Yet you disrespect our contributions and accuse us of defrauding you because we have the nerve to want to be paid for our efforts. (You know, we are called THE WORKING CLASS for a REASON) So, if you only make 3/4 of a million dollars instead of the full million, your motivation to work and to provide jobs will disappear and you will run off to another country, huh? And you expect us to blame the GOVERNMENT? What a whiny, snivelling, greedy, inconsiderate coward you are! You make it clear that you DON'T give a damn about your employees and their worries were NEVER yours, yet you don't mind exploiting us for every penny you can gather. So, close your company, move to another country, and retire. Spend the riches we have helped you to accumulate. Turn your back on your country - we'll be better off without you. We're at a time when everyone needs to pitch in together to fix the problems the "Free Market" has caused and if you would rather cry in your Dom about how abused YOU are because you can only have steak four times a week instead of five, don't let America's door hit you in the ass on your way out... Not long to go now and the weather looks pretty good I just received an email from the organiser of this study and he says that only 10 boats are registered to collect fish over the weekend.. He would like to get 125 fish for the weekend in his study and all size fish will be accepted.
