G'day Raiders
After going a month without a fish me and dad decided it had been too long, so we prepped the boat and left home around 7am, decided to try sydney hRbour for a change, anyway, drove all the way to rose bay only to find the roads closed for city to surf **slap forehead multiple times** so did a turn and within 25 mins we were at foreshore rd ramp
Tried all the usual spots for zeros, picked up a lonely bream at the drums, headed out to the heads and it was very sloppy despite what appeared to be a reasonable forecast. Turned back to find a school of salmon busting up on the surface, they were swimming shoulder to shoulder with their mouths open, don't know what they were eating?? Anyway picked up 2 salmon and many spat hooks, there were some real stonkers that just couldn't be stopped on my 6lb line.
Anyway around 245 I noted police and helicopters all over the place, didn't know what was going on but have just read that a woman drowned after being swept off bare island. Really heartbreaking and just goes further to prove how careful everyone should be around the ocean wether In a boat, rock fishing , or in today's instance jst taking photos.
A hard days work for 3 fish and a sad end.
