  1. Python is he Jeff, what a cheeky buggar. We had Crows stealing Eggs at our place till the wife made a "Crow Be Gone"
  2. I recon the first is a Juvenile GT Caranx ignobilis And the second is a Big Eye Trevally Caranax sexfasciatus As you thought. Great fun on the light gear.
  3. Kimberley Rock formation. Hey Jeff we seem to be doing dueling banjos on Sunset, and another Kimberley one.
  4. Excellent photos there FR. What a great place you live.
  5. Also just clicked on that second Tawney Frogmouth picture to get full size, awesome photo.
  6. Gee, thanks Donna. Had me stuffed. I recon "Bloody hell, that lights bright"
  7. You can see my dilemma, as I scratch my noggin. Thanks JD.
  8. Hi JD, yes I'm shooting in JEPG. The original size 2560x1920 2.8MB I cut down the size to 640x480, but when I post it it seems even smaller than that. I host the photo on a hosting site and pretty sure not had this issue. I also added them as a attachment and that uploaded even smaller. Not a major issue but just puzzling. Here's a test. Hope it works. This is has been uploaded to a hosting site. Now this is the same size photo added as a attachment.
  9. Hi Neil, the Sunset photos were taken in September and yes very big tides where I go, 12 metres plus on the big springs which is even bigger I believe than Talbot Bay (Horizontal Waterfalls), which is about 80klm further south. Glad you like them, Thanks.
  10. Sunset from camp for you Mate. The water sucking the sun down. PS. It seems the photos are compressed from the original that are well under 1meg. Any idea.
  11. I see you like a good Sunset phot there Big Neil, I'll get to that. The King Leopold Ranges has kept virtually all introduced critters out of a place I go in the Kimberleys. And you can see why. Great view in a plane but better in a Helicopter. Coming into camp late in the day.
  12. Blackfish

    Lizardfish

    Thanks for the update Donna.
  13. That looks Yummo Luke, I'll have to try that.
  14. And thats where you find a few fish, right up close to shore and structure. The fish chasing bait that hang around that area. When you see the guys fishing for Bream ETC from boats, a lot of the time they are casting into shore chasing these fish.
  15. No problems, nice catch you got anyway. Also thats a cracker of a Golden in your Avatar.
  16. Bass Groper http://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/content/fisheries/recreational/saltwater/sw-species/bass-groper Black Cod http://australianmuseum.net.au/black-rockcod Also Google Epinephelus daemelii and that will give you a better idea. Now, there is a few Black Cod down that way and are a TOTALLY protected fish. Bass Groper are a deep water fish and Black Cod are more of a shallower water fish.

  18. The more I look the more I recon Black Bandit is right. I dips me lip to ya sir.
  19. Certainly had me. I looked at that and it doesn't seem to have the Blue Edging or Spot ETC on the fish. But they seem to have a major change from Juveniles to Adults so maybe its a mature adult, male or female. But if its not that ???
  20. Also part of the Rabbitfish family and another common name for it is Rabbitfish.
  21. I'm with you Steve . Spotted Bigeye.
  22. A quick look and I recon Its a Eastern Frogfish. Batrachomoeus dubios. Little phone makes it hard for me to see. Try searching in Aquarium for one and that may help. Update... Quick look now. I recon Eastern frogfish
