  1. Just got back. Few hours further south but worth the drive if you go for more than a few days.
  2. Hi Time28, caught a Frogfish up at Woy Woy Bay a couple of years ago, well my daughter did. Also, as there's a couple of different Frogfish. This ones a Eastern Frogfish. Batrachomoeus dubius.

  5. I knew I should have said its latin name, sorry Steve. "Sphyraena obusata"
  6. I think you will find that its a Yellowtail Barracuda or as I call them a "Sea Pike"
  7. Love the end of the day with colours like that. Excellent.
  8. Thats a worthy Catch of the Month Pongrass.
  9. Great report as normal Neil, thanks for the update. Maybe the wrong cheese mate, try Stilton next time or a nice Gouda.
  10. Rock Cale. Aplodactylus lophodont . Caught plenty fishing for Blackfish off the stones but never eaten one and have heard they are very poor eating.
  11. Thanks for the updates, hope those fish turn it on for you soon seeing your putting in the hours. Love the photos as well.
  12. On Ya BA. Have a good one mate.
  13. Sounds like the Blackfish will be having a holiday when you two scallywags aren't chasing them. Have a good Crissy lads.
  14. Bad luck on the "Slippery Snapper" there Gordo but a couple in the bag is OK. The fish in the photo is a Eastern Pigfish. Bodianus unimaculatus. Or just Pigfish. I have seen a couple of Foxfish taken in Sydney over the years but certainly not a common catch those ones. Regards another, Gordon.
  15. I have found firmer flesh fish is best, but as Fishythings said fry the softer flesh first. Kingfish, Trevally are really good.
  16. Thats one huge Carp there Neil and bad luck on the Cod, mind you and can only get better for you from now on.
  17. Arnie, Tarwhine grow BIG, but the bigger ones i've seen have been when I'm diving and more out side then in the Estuary.
  18. Good on you for catching some Jewys.
  19. Yes there is a couple of Tarwhine there. Considering the amount of Bream taken in our East coast, your few will not make a difference, but saying that, if your aware of sustainability and every one tries their best thats great. Excellent catch Arnie.
  20. Now thats a great Blackfish in any ones bag.
  21. Cracking Carp there. looking forward to the upcoming reports there Neil.
