Yday was a struggle my mate n i had 1 fish by midday i think flooding recently had washed away or killed a lot of fish there were dozens of pools with no fish at all no small fish no redfin or carp visible we had a late bite and scored some 40 cm specimens an a few smaller fish maybe sneah in a trip before closed season and see if we can do better in a different area

With 2 metres plus easterly swell my rock spots were wiped so hit the channel for the run in tide a fish first cast boded well then 3rd cast i hooked up then had a huge run took 40 mtrs of line wondered if a giamt flatty had eaten my lud but turned out to be a turtle 45 50 cm across was hooked in mouth so it ate the cabbage after nearly ten mins i had it at my feet but bit me off before i could get fone from backpak hooked and landed a double always fun netting them on different length traces ended up with 9 fat good size luderick lots of boneless pieces for dinner this week

Try cleaning carbies bits of gunk float around then block jet when you stop or lower revs back to idle jet it falls away off you go till it blocks again

The local rocks are a mix if sandstone and gravel base not really slippery i wesr hiking style boots as the gravelly surface is rough and sticks into your feet if you have thin soles
