  2. Great post and nice whiting there...the wind was your friend:)
  3. I've walked past this spot at low tide a few times and thought it would be worth a go with nippers on an evening rising tide but gave it a go with a morning tide. Shall be back when the tides are right to try an evening bash:)
  4. great story and looking forward to the vid!!
  5. Cracking fish there! and great pics too!
  6. Great report, at least your bait was big enough for sashimi;) Cowan Youngs?
  7. Great work Scratchie, hope they were all appreciative of your actions! The karma is with you most of the time anyway😁That one will be an interesting insurance claim🤔
  8. Wasn't game to launch the boat yesterday with all the traffic expected so I took a few nippers down to the banks of the lower Georges to fish the northern flats on a rising tide in an area I have been eyeing off for a while. Lost a legal whiting early then the bigger one grabbed a nipper in a foot of water...thought it was a ray the way it pulled and it went close to 40cm. Got another about half and hour later in the mid 30s and headed home. I'm looking forward to fishing this spot on an evening rising tide;)
  9. Beautiful smorgasbord Yowie! Mondays are bearable?

  13. It's the work not the fishing:) Good for a busy day! Getting used to the tinny but I had the kayak covered! Thanks Yowie I'm going to need to some help from you as I start fishing the hacking!! Cheers Scratchie!
  14. Great Post Ribs Swimming at Stockton beats swimming in the Georges:) Well done landing a top fish from the beach on light gear. Shame she didn't make it but sure to feed the family! Cleanest looking dusky I've seen!
  15. Karma is there and you did the right thing....there are plenty of &$@“ heads out there and most of them think they are amazing 🤪 great read and I hope the next trip is a bit more productive....the holiday crowds will die down soon!
  16. Awesome fish on fly, must have kept you busy for a while!
  17. Gathered some good sized poddies on Friday before heading out early in the bay on Saturday morning. Poor man's downrigged the poddies in the hope of a king amongst a carpark of boats early on then headed up river to a couple of reliable spots. Didn't do much good losing half poddies to tailor but just as the tide started running hard, first drift in a deep water spot had my rod bent over and a very feisty flathead came on board just short of 80 cm. A couple of pics and released in good form. Headed further up river to a a couple of spots with no action so back to another haunt nearing the bottom of the tide and a screaming first run saw a very fat fish come aboard, this one also in the high 70s. As I was close to shore I took some landbased shots and revived her to swim off back to the bait! One more drift and on board cam a 50cm model that went onto ice for a meal. Pretty happy with two nice fish from a paltry total of 5 fish all day!
  18. That was a great watch..I don't do much rock hopping these days but it brought back some memories. Has anyone found an old video including a rock hopper from Yamba who was an absolute genius? It also had some footage on Botany Bay fishing for flathead.
  19. Awesome report Brendan, nice to see a marlin post and such a great story to go with it! Nice rig too:)
