  1. Welcome to fish raider and nice report. Never fished that far north cant wait to
  2. Mate thats a monster river reddie well done. Does anyone know if they get to anywhere near that size in middle harbour because all I can pull is undersize pinkie after pinkie.
  3. Nice work, I'm in the same boat, have just started SP fishing in Sydney haven't got on the board yet hopefully soon
  4. Must've been frustrating, but still good to get out and catch a few fish for a feed.
  5. Hey mate welcome. Fishing in Sydney's awesome, but occasionally it is tricky to find out what works and doesn't in different conditions. Just keep at it and you''l be in for a feed in no time don't worry. If i'm land-based i'll usually have a look at the satellite map the night before for good looking spots for your target species (rocky points, sand-flat drop-offs) and generally try to avoid highly fished areas like boat ramps. Good luck mate
  6. Nice fish mate, I've been trying to get in sp's lately on a new setup with minnowz and grubz no luck yet but will keep persisting
  7. Well done I usually find squid harder to catch in winter as well.
  8. Well done mate lucky you got out while you could
  9. Nice fish mate can't complain with that
  10. Hey mate i'm 16 fishing is like that once you start you won't stop. Like the others said theres heaps of info on here just contribute and ask questions and you'll soon enough get pretty good at fishing
  11. Mate thats awesome what a fish theres no way you would've expected that. Well done
  12. Nice little report, haven't had much luck on any whiting lately.
  13. I remember finding a NSW government website a few months ago while I was thinking about the same thing. It had the percentage survival from release rates for each fish species. I can't find it but its worth a look.
  14. Have a sinker running to swivel and about 1.5m leader. Depends what depth you want your bait at and troll speed, but I usually try to keep it mid-water so a bean sinker the size of your pinkie usually works. Good luck.
  15. Great story, I've had several expensive squid jigs stripped of their cloth in Jervis Bay when the jackets are swarming.

    Black cat

Maybe an extremely rare birth of a fox with black fur pigments?
  17. Well done thats a success mate even more satisfying in trying conditions.
  18. I've heard rumours that on boat you can travel more than 10kms radius and that those rules don't apply, but can confirm they do I was out on the water today and had a chat to maritime who were out checking.
  19. Well done mate even though jackets are a pest they make a mad feed. They've been going pretty nuts in the harbour as well lately, even caught one that was either a deformed or had half its body bitten off but survived.
  20. Always good to get out for a fish mate well done
