  1. Mate,

Anywhere near the caravan park is worth a shot but since you have the kids there I would try near the boat ramp right opposite the carpark, as on the beach near the oval there is always a bit of weed around so you need to cast it a little which might involve getting in the water. if this fails park at Woolworths car park after the bridge and try along there, minimum to no weight is the way to go there and the smaller the hooks the better.

The choice of bait there would be bread as mentioned for bait, burley and a feed and not to mention servo prawns go very well there too.

The kids will have a ball I cant wait to take my little girl there.

last but not least if your really keen mullet is a great bait there the bigger bream and flatties love it but that's up to you as the baits mentioned already can get you better fish too but will get the attention of all the pickers also, it just depends what your after..

I love it down there have to get back there soon but its a bit of a hike for me from Liverpool,

    Good Luck

    Regards,

    Nathan

  2. Wow, Nice Port Jackson,

I was on a house boat last weekend at the hawkesbury and we got into heaps of Port Jacksons they are such a nice looking shark and its a shame that people would cut the fins off them that's so cruel.

Looks like you had a good night out!!! Well done,

    Regards,

    Nathan

  3. yeah I suppose if the winch is strong it would make a difference might look at getting a better winch for my trailer in the future.

so the outboard is running good now? as you were having dramas a few weeks ago as I remember?

    Regards,

    Nathan

  4. Looking Good Man,

How do you find launching and retrieving with that trailer as I noticed you have wooden skids on it?

I have a similar setup and had a hell of a time getting it on and off so I added a couple of rollers right at the back and took most of the weight off the skids but enough to support it as they take most of the weight.

I hope your rig serves you well looks like a very good setup.

Nice work by the way

    Regards,

    Nathan

  6. Stewy,

I flew into sydney a couple of days ago and as I had a window seat I was checking out the waterways for myself.

What I can say is the Hawkesbury was very muddy and the Parra did not look the best either, I did manage to spot some whales from the plane off Botany but did not get a good look at the bay itself hope I have been helpful in some way,

    Regards,

    Nathan

  8. Showing my ignorance here, but do outboards have a thermostat that restricts coolant flow to make it warm up faster?

If a thermostat isn't opening and closing up properly it will mess up the heating and cooling abilities.

Yes they do have thermostats well my 50 HP does, the thermostat is not the only possiblilty to this problem but plays a vital role in the cooling system definately worth checking out if this is a cooling issue,

    Regards,

    Nathan

  9. This is Interesting as when I had cooling problems with my 1975 Evinrude 50 the buzzer would go off once it was too hot but you still had power allthough I cut the power off as soon as I heard the buzzer, perhaps your buzzer is not working or does not exist.

I would go through the basics first as many people have suggested, once you have exhausted all avenues check the cooling system and see how you go.

when the motor starts cutting out perhaps you should feel it see how hot it is carefully as maybe if there is a cooling issue the water might not be getting to the right places.

I will be interested to know how you go with this,

    Good Luck,

    Regards,

    Nathan

  10. Your gonna have to start targeting something else soon as your going to get sick of catching jew lol!!!!!

good on you especially on lures still on my to-do list but I have been avoiding the cold lately I need to get out there and brave the cold as the rewards are there as long as you are willing to work for it,

you may have to look into importing these special lures yourself lol!!!!

    Regards,

    Nathan
