JonD
No jewy but non stop action packed, maybe if we stayed later than 6.30 we may of hit the holy grail but a 92 cm 9.7 kg tailor had us pumped enough to leave satisfied.

They are what we called tope in the UK. Not sure how the meat might be from the tailor, it was very dark but after smoking a few lately I'm willing to try it. New Signing
Great tailor. The monsters are actually becoming a more and more regular catch in St Georges basin since the netting has stopped

We use 50lb mamoi, the others we caught over the two days previous were on 20lb mamoi. It's more a case of luck that all the fish were hooked at the front of the mouth as even small tailor will chop through mono with ease. These fish were over three days at three locations.
Keflapod
What's the record for a tailor at FR or even in Australia? The 97cm fish would be up there wouldn't it? BTW did it jump? You would have thought it was a jumpin jewie ! Maybe it's a stray American bluefish

Many boxes of very large tailor were reported to of been taken, with pitures posted on social media showing many tailor over one metre. Many tons of salmon were also for the pet food and trap bait industry. Haven't heard of any large fish since the netting. As for the big tailor jumping, yes funny enough it did jump a few times. 1
