Congrat's on a super session!
Twa's a great report.
I've never fished St Clair alway's Glenbawn, however after your report I am keen to give it a go.
Any excuse to get away for the weekend1
Regard's rod.
A bad day on the water sure beat's a good day at work!
Bad luck on the kingie front, but a feed of squid is a nice consolation prize you have to admit!

Depend's on how you hook it up,
test your rig beside the boat before you connect it to the bomb and see how it behaves.
if it does'nt spin, All is good kingie's beware!!!
Hi old salty,
we hit middle harbour on sat morn at 4.00am, there were 1/2 doz boats fishing for squid at the spit bridge so we went and tried a few other tried and proven spot's for a big zero They seem very finnicky lately?
Went and scored some yakka's around balmoral and headed back up MH to fish the holes around Seaforth on the high tide.
No kings or jews however we did manage some reasonable little reddies and some good blurters.
Hopefully the kingies will turnup soon.

Hi Davemmm,
I grew up in the early day's of spinning off the rocks and back then it was seascapes versus mitchell 499's.
And the seascape guy's alway's won out in the distance stakes!
When spinning off the stones even now, I use an old shimano speedmaster 6-1 overhead and casting a 3oz arrow I can easily hit 100 metres.
Don't know of any threadlines that will throw that far?

A ford will probably lead the race for a short amount of time,
then break down, or hit a rock, a kangaroo or another ford then blame a holden driver for their misfortune!
Go Holden, esp Greg Murphy!!!!
Hey Charmo,
I also have a Jarvis walker watersnake 34lb and i use it transom mounted on a 3.7m edgetrakker and can't fault it.
I originally bought it for my 12ft canadian and it works great on this as well.
Great value for money.

Hey Kiwi Dan,
wer'e hitting MH for some squids early sat morn and will be trying to turn them into kingies later on.
Might catch up with you if your about?
I've got the unpainted edgetrakker with the beer keg converted to a livie tank.
Sometimes I wonder if that was a wise move?
What boat have you got?
Cheer's Rod.
I have noticed 4 strokes on average weigh abt 10kg more than their 2 stroke counterparts.
I have also heard as you note Pelican that they (4 strokes) lack power down low?
The charging ability between 4+2 strokes seems to be abt 4 amps? which I don't really know what this equates too in terms of overall battery chargeability (if that's a word?)
I take your point Anthony abt emissions, it all becomes a bit confusing?
I have been told that Yamaha's are the most reliable however they only offer a 2 year warranty and Tohatsu offer a 3 year? Are Mercury more reliable, please raiders give me your opinions on your favourite donks!
