  1. Great work morgs.I,ve seen some crackers caught from that area in the last 12 months,i fish there quite often for my bream. chris
  2. Thanks for the replies fishraiders. Tumra they were caught using large fresh mullet strip baits.I also use bonito strips and fresh taylor strips, reason being the bait is less likely to be eaten by the pickers. You can never go to big on bait for blue nose bream.Burley is essential for consistant catches.
  3. Nice feed of fish guys, shame you didn,t score a few more dolphinfish as they are a superb feed, well done on a great day out. chris
  4. Hi Fishraiders, Hit the Hacking early hours this morning as work was cancelled for today and it gave me a good chance to chase some bream. Checked the weather before leaving, low winds, high barometer......PERFECT! Fish were biting really really well, caught plenty keeping these two beauties for the table for tonight's dinner. Was very happy with the 40cm bream weighing in at 878g. Got home late this morning with a smile on my face. Chris

  14. All is well George. Mate work is extremely busy just got home. I worked on a house this morning and guess who the owner is?.......remember the video we watched at my place with no no no and Jim Fiarakis catching the 30kg plus Jewi at Juno Point, well I was working on Jim's house today and his wife said she will tell him to call me about fishing. Gee's what a small world. Hopefully we can tee up a fishing trip as he loves his jewi as you know I do. Chris

Andyz123 picnic point, lambeth park you will get on to some quality bream and jewfish day or night.Blood worm, prawns, pilchards will be fine as bait, fresh mullet fillets work a treat there as well. There is a walkway there so you can fish many spots GOOD LUCK and look forward to reading your posts. chris.
  17. The Harbour was a last minute decision, it's a challenge when you don't know the fishing area very well. You should go sometime, you'll be amazed at how many kelp beds are out there.....looks to be squid heaven to me. It's just that I'm not into the traffic out on the Harbour. You'll DEFINATELY be seeing me back out on the Hacking soon, possibly Sunday if weather permits. As to the colour of the squid they were imitating the colour of my live bait tank lid underneath. They changed to clear white when they were at the bottom of the tank. Chris
  18. Thanks hamerz84 I try and get out on the water as often as I can when I have some free time......I love my fishing. Chris
  19. Hi Peter You're right, Sydney Harbour is a bit busy.....for me as well. Chris
  20. Very well done hamerz.I love seeing photo's of fish from the georges like that. Great work on her release and keep them updates coming. Chris.
  21. Great work, hill 60 is a great place for fishing. You definately look like you had a great time catching all those fish. As for you loosing your fish bringing them up the ledge you should try swapping your treble hooks to quality singe hooks you,ll land more fish. GOODLUCK MATE Chris.
  22. Well done andrew the weather and seas were great to be out and about yesterday, great work on the kings awsome stuff. Good to see maritime and police doing checks i had them come up to me yesterday and they were very pleasant to talk with.I was also checked on last trip out for flares,v sheet etc but all was good. I couldn,t believe my eyes how many people fish in the harbour at night as it was my second trip there with the boat. chris
  23. Called up my mate yesterday afternoon to see if he was up for a fishing and site seeing trip on the Harbour. I have only fished the Harbour twice in my lifetime as I'm always in the Hacking. We put in from Gladesville Boat Ramp which is an A1 ramp for any size boat with a long pontoon for getting on and off your boat. We then headed under the Harbour Bridge to see the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship.....I felt like I was in a bathtub sitting in my boat next to the Diamond Princess. From there on I started feeling claustrophobic as I'm not used to the boat traffic which is on the Harbour. As we ventured to the heads we dropped in some lures and trolled Blue Fish Point along Manly and back for one Bonito, so we then decided to head inside and look for the weed beds as dusk was setting in and we needed a feed for Sunday's lunch. Managed three squid quickly from the weed beds we found. Then we saw fish busting up everywhere around us so we chased them with lures and had a ball with the Bonito's for the next half hour keeping a few for a feed. We then anchored up on the Sour and Pigs Reef with the other boats only to catch small Snapper as we had no knowledge of fishing the reef. Headed further up....Plan B was to fish Balls Head, so I sacrificed a squid in that spot and a yellowtail on the other rod. The squid went off very quickly being such a fresh bait.....first in first served with quality bait but with my luck it was an eel that turned up first. All in all I enjoyed the afternoon watching the big ship sail out and catching a feed for lunch. Chris
  24. Excellant catch......now that's a Jew Fish. Gotta love catching fish of that size on 20lb braid. Would have been a real fight, gotta love the head shakes and powerful first run while your heart is pumping JUST EXCELLENT WELL DONE. Curious what rod/reel combo did you use? chris
